I've been playing video games all my life and I've recently become very passionate about the idea of making them. I love that we live in a time where software is accessible enough where a solo developer can make something that rivals what was possible 30 years ago. That's how I look at it anyway, I try and make stuff that would have wowed the super nintendo audience of the 90's.
I'm also humbled by the amount of talent and organizational skills required to make "simple" games, let alone something current gen that we would play today. Making games makes me see everything with a new lens of appreciation that makes me stop mid-game to admire the craftsmanship of the scene.
Anyway, I just think making games is a lot of fun and I'll keep making them as long as they keep making software like RPG Maker.

I thought the ending of Resident Evil 4 where Ashley offers to show Leon her "gratitude" was hella random.
I am setsuna
I was really excited about this game (and still am I guess), but the $40 price tag really turned me off. But I do still plan on buying it because just listening to the soundtrack got me so amped.
I will be pissed if I drop 40 bucks on this and then they release a physical version on disc later on...

Thank you guys very much, I spent way too much time fretting over the look of this game.

I saw a game image and was like "wow, this gives gives me the vibe of a good webcomic for some reason!", then I saw the project description and laughed at myself.
The idea of it giving off a webcomic kinda vibe is really appealing to me!
So i finished Dead Island and i have a question (spoilers)

[RMXP] Voices in battle
Thanks, that's a huge compliment!
Yeah, I hate that HUD and I tried adding a bunch of textures and patterns to it to spice it up but it still looked pretty bad. The best I could come up with was just making it brown with the gradient. I'm really limited in both my knowledge and with RPG Maker XP in particular.
I'm thinking maybe I'll be able to find somebody to help me with the overall menu design once the meat and potatoes of the actual game are done.
