For the record, I suspected that was the case, but I appreciate the confirmation.
What I will infer from that is that you think the Noriko tachie in particular look better with the contour lines than without (you may feel free to disabuse me of that notion upon your return). I am entirely willing to abide by that judgment.

As someone who can see the other side of his room without his glasses on, I must point out the tachies would look weird missing the nose contours and nothing else. In the base resolution settings, that little smudge's almost invisible, whereas the absence of it stands out like a sore thumb.
Just out of curiosity, do the Miki and Keika tachie also bother you, then? Neither of them has the nose contour bit (though I cannot confirm whether they have any other part of the layer, since...well, even in higher zoom settings I can't tell for certain what else is in that layer beyond lines defining the outer edge of the face).

Honestly, it only bothers me now because I know it's there. When I look at it at the size it will be displayed in-game, I don't even see it, just as I couldn't see it on the built-in tachie until I looked at them in about 200% zoom.

That's...a good question, actually. I haven't even replaced them in my own game file yet. I think I was waiting to see if anyone was going to fix the pointy nose thing, and then I got sidetracked.

New version of Yoshimura Noriko uploaded. One new event, and had to rewrite a phone story because I'm an idiot who's too enamored of his own puns to forget I'm supposed to be writing a translation from Japanese. (I feel like throwing in a random "BAKA~!" here, but meh.) That said, other than a couple profile bits and music, I am pretty much done with Noriko, barring feedback-related changes or epiphanies. I'm still just getting started playing with ideas for my other custom character, Hamaguchi Takako. No promises, though.
(Off-topic: the reason this update is both small and late is because, despite indications to the contrary, I hadn't actually gotten around to playing Katawa Shoujo until yesterday. So...yeah, still doing that.)

Dozen: Took a really close look at the tachie, and I think I see what you mean. On Marrend's "unfriendly" tachie, it looks like there was an extra line or something above the eyelashes on her right eye, which is not there on yours. Now that I know what to appreciate, I can appreciate it.
Oh, and you get the Medal of Basic Competence for knowing how to spell "surprised". I'd pin it on you, but I'd probably hit a major artery.
