Congrats on getting this game done and not giving up on it! I suspect 90%+ of RMN developers would have done so, especially since the deadline for the event was well past.

I'll add it to my ever-lengthening Games to Play List and Subscribe to it to keep myself up to date. I won't promise when, but I'll provide so sort of feedback once I do get around to playing it ...

Yeah, I have always felt my voice sounded so different when recorded and then played back. Last week was the first time I used a microphone and wasn't taken aback from hearing my own voice over the speakers in real-time.

I would think it is up to you to decide which game to prioritize. It seems to me working more on LoTL might sound like the better option, unless you things have lined up and are really inspired for Ev2.

Regarding Ev2, it sounds to me that making it standalone for several of the practical reasons you mention, to which I will add having a pretty page for showcasing its virtues, seems to way to go. It would kind of continue a tradition followed by some of the developers of series of games I have played and liked @ RMN which are not quite sequels or prequels of the earlier ones. I'll mention Dark Gaia and Deltree as examples of this, to name a couple.

Avidemux seems to be what I'm looking for ... simple to use and learn, but with enough features, including cleaning up noisy videos (taken through a cellphone, no less!). There is apparently a very powerful, hard to learn, poorly document one in Lightworks, which has been good enough to be enough to edit blockbuster Hollywood movies. I'll let you guys how it went ...
