All Hallows' Event 2013
New guy with Big ideas
L64, here's a little comic strip you might enjoy, you being "not that young":
Add Strip Loose Comics Issue 5
Oh, I think it's time to for Addit to make a new one, regarding the All Hallows' Eve 2013 Event.

I say give the scorps some red beady eyes to make them look threatening. Agree with ARG. You could probably squeeze in 3 small ones in a fight, at most.

I suspected as much. Most RMNers are probably too young to know about the C64. Perhaps the next big thing will be the IPA64 (hint: it was released very recently).

How do you get to the 5th floor please???
Before going to the 5th floor you need to go all the way left and then up to the next screen. In the next area find your way to go all the way left and then up. You'll find a switch that you can flip that will activate the bridge to get you towards the 5th floor.
To get there from the long stairwell going down to the 4th floor you need to go down and to the left. When you see the first stairwell go up, go all the way to the left, all the way up, all the way to the right ... if I remember correctly you will eventually be able to cross the gap and go back down to the lower level, then go left towards the gap and up. In the next room you find a boss battle and complete another quest.
Let me know if it works for you. I'm basically telling you what I remember from memory after about 3 months of not playing the game, so I could be wrong about a detail or two. Good luck!

I don't know what's happening with voters choice because I don't have a vote option (is that because I'm a judge?).
Great job, Fomar! So I guess my idea of actually playing them all, doesn't seem far-fatched, although the giving thorough feedback part will be the most time consuming part and work for me. Playing them will hopefully be fun.
Regarding the voters' choice poll, no, I don't see it either. I think the voting should kind of be similar to the Misaos, except only one category with all the entries should be available.
And Fomar, I don't judges should even be allowed to vote for the vc. You each already get 1/3 of the vote for the prizes and achievements. I wonder how Caz and SS are doing. Perhaps we can get a relatively quick resolution from the judges, this time (in say less than 1 month after the event is over).
How bad is your eyesight?
I got a free computerized prescription exam today (took all of 2 minutes and no need to read tiny, blurry letter or E on their sides or upside down). My astimagtism continues to be far worse than my farsightedness: -2.00 and -2.50 right eye, -0.75 and -5.75 left eye.
I'll be buying my glasses for the first time online tomorrow (it's too late and I would rather not make mistakes) and the frames will be 100% plastic for the first time as well. There made of this TR90 SuperLight plastic that's supposed to be lighter and more durable than metal ones. I was way overdue in getting new glasses, plus since I have been so tired from my long workdays I have fallen asleep on top of my metal-framed glasses quite a few times and the frame temples have become bent out of shape. This are how my frames will look:
Those ought to be the coolest looking glasses I have ever owned!

I'm Hoping to Get a New Home to Move to this Week
Let's see. When I was a baby, I shared a large room with my Mom and Dad, and one of my sisters. When I grew up, I shared another room with the same sister, brother and my grandma, until said sister was forced to share a room with my other sister. When we moved to another house, I shared the largest room with my brother.
In my first year of college, I shared a dorm room with another guy. Pretty much after that, I have either lived by myself in an apartment, or had an apartment mates (one of them happened to be a cousin of mine). Except for a month sharing a room in my uncle's house with my uncle's house, no other roommates since my freshman year. I can probably adapt to people with good living habits (smokers, party animals, devil worshippers nor slackers need not apply).
In essence, if I got to rent the house, would have housemates rather than roommates, unless somehow I made to get a live-in gf (I'm not quite ready for that yet!) @ some point in time.
The house actually has three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet you walk past to get to the master bathroom which has a skylight. Not to mention there's a nice yard out back (maybe I'll get a dog someday), furnished kitchen (only drawback is that the stove is electric, which I kind of hate, but should be able to adjust to) and a laundry room. There's even a studio (with an original Imac, not quite a IIs, go hockey puck mouse and cheap colored, translucent plastic!).
Basically, any room you pick is the same size or larger than the room I'm currently renting and since it is pretty well furnished, I don't need to buy almost any furniture and most major appliances are already supplied ... The only thing that would need to be fixed would be the water heater. I really would like getting to live in that house (sighs and dreams).

Welcome to RMN, L64! So is your name in honor of C64 or N64? Good luck making good RPGs. Contribute lots and ask around if you need help.
I'm Hoping to Get a New Home to Move to this Week
I went to see a friends mom's house today, which is where he grew up in his childhood. His mom moved to a furnished apartment, so the house remains pretty much fully furnished and HUGE for a single person as myself. The house is beautiful and hasn't been occupied for the last year but it has all the signs of somebody still living there, except clean bathrooms and no signs of food or trash.
Hopefully, his mom will accept the proposal we came up with and I will be able to start moving to the house this week, one carfull at a time (pretty much everything I own fits into my car!). The proposal is basically is to pay her a minimum amount for the first few months and then, more after that, assuming that my sales commissions from work kick in or I can find some good housemates to bridge the $ gap. Wish me luck, guys! I'll let you know what happens ...
