Dyhalto, your notes are spot on, excluding the fact that the US may have funded them like they did egypt in the past as well. The states has a bad trend to fund one side and let them fight it out.
However, The river bombing is terrible, and there should be some repercussions for that action, not that I see that happening.

Who cares? Because "posts mean jackshit" B-) As long as there is no "like/dislike" button for posts like on YouTube there are no good or bad posts.
That's true enough XD

Much better this character than the third one.
Oh yeah, Markius made the quality cut, story and sprite-wise. The third one was the first guy I drew, and failed pretty badly on.

Please Note that these pics were taken from Dev Meta 0.0001. In other words, the words are nothing more then nonsense for the test. XD He did not meet QA at all.

Yeah. Your reputation is on the line with every release, screenshot, and forum post. No matter how much time and effort you invest in a project, your competitors can reduce your standing to nothing with a single word. So even if you return later, with a project that shows signs of technical improvement, they'll still remember you for your worst and least-polished works, and ignore your subsequent attempts. No matter what. Their opinions of you can never be increased. When you join RMN, there's nowhere to go but down.
...You know, as my mentor once said, it is pointless to speak to ears whom will not listen. I can see your point, but if you refuse to listen and still desire to drink in those poisoned thoughts, covered in your blind of darkness. Go then, I will not stop you.

Look, I am aware that this is one of those online troll communities where veterans get their rocks off by terrorizing newcomers, but listen to me for a minute. I don't give a damn about what other people think of my game. More important is what I think of my game, and I personally think it's garbage. I've been working on it for the better part of a decade, and since that underwhelming, poorly-written, and questionably-designed piece of fanfic trash is the best I could come up with, it seriously made me reconsider my involvement with game design as a whole. Quoting Metal Gear Solid and using incendiary terms like "ragequit" and "juvenile" isn't helping anybody.
... Look, that era is over. None of us act like that anymore, and you just need to calm down and remember that this is for FUN. Why should you care what anyone thinks? Release the game you think is good, don't release it for the audeiance. That, is why we are amateur, we are not professional.

Games have many aspects of their quality that can be objectively measured.
Option 1: A game with 863 elements all named "fire." Any enemy can be weak or strong against any of them, but there's no way to tell except trial and error. Defeating an enemy has a 10% chance of changing the elemental properties of future fights against the same enemy; the player is not notified when this happens.
Option 2: A game with 6 elements that form two triads of rock-paper-scissors puzzles. A bestiary shows you the elemental properties of monsters you've defeated.
Option 2 is objectively better game design. I don't think you can really believe it's totally a matter of opinion. Art, writing, music, engineering, and programming can all be better or worse. So of course game design can be better or worse.
I concur. I would enjoy #1, just due to the challenge. Locke, make that game so I can be entertained.
