What does it mean for a game to be an RPG?

author=LockeZ
Legend of Zelda is an action-adventure game.

It is the reason the action-adventure genre exists. It is the definitive game in that genre. You cannot possibly call it any genre other than the genre that was literally invented to accommodate it.

No, it still is a Action Rpg due to its system. Besides that, "Adventure", the game that all adventure games were based on anyways is really just a predecessor of the modern rpg, thus allowing it to be an rpg.

Request to add O.H.R.RPG.C.E as a game engine.

This is a simple request for a old rpg making program to be given a small section under the Engines tab: O.H.R.RPG.C.E, aka Official Hamster Republic Role Playing Game Construction Engine as a legit game engine above. We still have ika and rpg toolkit listed, so why not add one of the original engines, especially under the light that it is still being updated as of the date May 6 2011.

What does it mean for a game to be an RPG?

Legend of Zelda can be played almost entirely without the menu, short of switching some hot keys. It isn't an RPG, yet it fits your criteria.

Legend of Zelda is, and always has been classified as a Action Rpg, never as a Arcade beat them up. If something has the element of playing a role and grants certain flags that resemble the classic paper rpgs, it can be safely classified as a rpg.

What games are you looking forward to?

Devil Survivor 2. Yes, another grind Heaven for me.

Ohhre (I think?) Request.

Yeah, Its actually what I've made most of my games on. Its tricky to use, but a bit more flexible then RM2k, and I heard they actually started to update the program again, so I was wondering where I could find the update.

EDIT: Nevermind,I found it here: http://rpg.hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/Downloads
They really are still updating, so should this not be included as one of the engines underneath the tab at the top?
Thanks for the link, by the way. It helped me out a lot.

Ohhre (I think?) Request.

This is a simple request, all I want to do is use the Hamster Republic Rpg maker, but does anyone know where a copy can be found? I can not seem to find it any where, and thus, why I request it from ye.

Do you want to talk to your computers? (and consoles)

I actually talk to my computer and it does talk back. Creepily enough, without the voice recognition or even a microphone for that matter. Well, the things it says only seem to line up with what I say about 2/3s of the time, but I think I may had triggered some unused feature of win7, by messing with the system files to change the boot screen. Its really...

Let's Discuss Super Powers!

Hmm... I notice not many of the powers mentioned really have an archlies heel...
Here is a BALANCED power:
Mystic Eyes of Death Perception
Good: If you can reach it and are athletic enough, you can kill almost anything as long as you can hit it with something, meaning snipers would always get one shot KOs or serial killers would be able to cut right through armor and even kill imaginary concepts.
Bad: It is only effective if you can actually hit the lines or points with an object. If you are out of shape or just can't reach the thing in question, you can not kill it.
SIDE EFFECTS:Can cause blindness, Insanity, Strong Headaches, Anemia, Spells of fainting, Instant Death and intense confusion.
Media used in: Tsukihime, Kara no Kyoukai and Star Wars, believe it or not.

This is one super power that it has a good enough heel to stop it from being an overused ploy, despite it already being a Author's tool.
