Crafting equipment vs buying it
How do you all feel about games where equipment needs to be repaired? As a player do you like having to maintain the condition of gear or is it an annoyance?
I ask because I'm thinking of merging a crafting/augmentation system with a repair system. They'll be effectively indistinguishable.

How planned-out should your RPG be before you begin?
RPG Maker for Playstation suggests this workflow:
1. Develop ideas and concept.
2. Create title screen.
3. Create the characters and skills they will use.
4. Create monsters.
5. Create items.
6. Create magic and abilities.
7. Create maps.
8. Combine all the elements you've created by now working on the event data.
9. Finally, beta test.
For serious projects, everything between 1 and 9 is silly. A title screen is the *least* important thing your game needs. You don't even need to have a definite title in mind until late in development. There is nothing wrong with calling your project "FF Clone #72 (working title)" in the meantime.
In fact, you may not need a title screen at all unless your game has extras and stuff. If the only thing for the player to do at the title screen is load up a game, then why not make the game do that automatically? GTA, Infamous, and other prominent games work this way and I've never heard anyone say they were incomplete games because they lack a title screen.
Everything after that depends on the type of game you are making, but it should go without saying that you want to get the generalities of your game system working before you add specifics. I wouldn't start creating specific monsters until my game system and story are functional.

Power to the authors!
Content creation (technical)
It's a bug. Thank you for reporting it. There's no workaround so you'll have to wait for the fix, which I'll try to get to this weekend. Sorry 'bout that.

Just so you know, I get an error about the absence of rgss104e.dll. Because I'm too lazy to search for it, I changed the ini file to want rgss102e.dll instead, and then it worked fine.
Tina of the Stars Review
I definitely recognize some of the music from commercial games. (Puzzle Bobble? Bomberman? Something like that)
After man
Hm, I get the title screen and start the game, but after that all I see is a completely black screen. The only button that seems to do anything is the option to quit.

Haha, the protagonist's classmates? Who wants to date those guys? :D But, if this ever gets made, I wouldn't stop anyone from writing custom content to that effect.

Funny that you say that, as adding a gender select option is something that has been on my mind for a long time. It's just that every time I look at the work it would entail I shake my head and go "Nah". But one of these day perhaps...! As the game has become more popular I've been adding features lately that I didn't think I would add.
