Same for me, I live under a rock when it comes to things like this.
Also is "I am Legend" any good? I'm thinking of *cough*renting*cough* it.
I liked it. The ending was kind of meh, and the creatures weren't the best cgi, but it was really interesting and well acted.
Worst video games you've played this year
I am usually pretty careful on what I buy. My brother got Halo 3, that was pretty mediocre (single player at least). I played Assassins Creed at a friends house for a couple of hours, it was pretty disappointing (It got repetetive in the short time I played it - not good).
I thought it was good. There where some fairly intense sequences in the game, although I will agree that there are missions that are kind of mindless and boring.
I also played a little bit of Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, that wasn't to good.

Call of Duty 4. I don't really know why people like this game because it's so incredibly dull and mindless. I like shooters a lot, but Call of Duty is just the worst kind of shooter out there and gives the genre a bad name.

how to put in characters
I don't have VX, but I will do my best (based on 2K3)
Go to your 'Event' layer, and on your map a grid should come up. Double click on the square you want him on, then click where it says 'Event Graphic'. From there set the sprite to what you want, then you can edit him from there.
This should be right, unless it is radically diffrent from VX.

Watcha been up to lately?
Mostly school work, playing some Brawl, watching some movies, the usual. I have to finish this stupid application thing though, it is kind of hanging over my head, but I really don't want to do it. I need to though.

Well, the menu looks nice, but I think the chemistry set on the right doesn't match at all. I would suggest finding one that does not stand out as much or getting rid of it all together.
Looking of a good Chipset
First, go into the database (where you change your characters and such)
Then, click on the tab that says "tileset".
In the center, click on the button that says Passability.
Then, like Little Wing Guy said, click on the tile you don't want to walk on and make it X, O for one you do, and STAR for the one you want to be above.

The Dark Night, Indiana Jones are about it for me. And maybe Harry Potter.
Hmm... I guess also the Hobbit, when it inevitably comes, if Del Toro directs (though it will be a while off).
I know it is already been out, but I can't wait to see There Will Be Blood. Once it comes to DVD I will see it.
And of course, the Dragonball movie.
