I've been doing this rpg maker thing since I was 13 and haven't really ever stopped ever since. I have a couple projects under my belt, though only a few finished that I'm completely proud of. (my first game is finished, but it's typical 'my first game' trash). I found this place after finally upgrading from 2k3 to xp after RRR sorta collapsed and died. It's sorta sad to see that the internet isn't actually as immortal as previously thought, with old links decaying into 404's all around where you need help, but I guess that's just the way things go when interest is lost.
I'm a pretty big homestuck fan, and have done tons of work on an ARG/RP called SBARGv2 (I joined the community in its first iteration but didn't join the staff until the sequel) and have been working on stuff for that ever since.
I am the main artist in Fallingstar Games and I have a homestuck epilogue/sbarg crossover fanadventure called None Pizza with Left Beef.
I am aggressively nonbinary, and always willing to help out a friend in need.

[RM2K3] Rpg Maker Maniacs Patch (for official version)
I've got an issue. I'm trying to play an ogg file in-game but it's not working. It doesn't have any error on screen, just silence. Other file types work just fine for bgm. Oddly enough, the ogg files can be played in the maniac's editor with no issues.
Any insight on why this might be the case? I'm using the 211010 version.
EDIT: I found oout the solution! turns out I forgot to convert the project itself with the utility. It works perfectly now.

Swap in 3 Middle with Who?
I think my first half may be a bit filler-y, with my need to finish one solid thing every day to earn that egg, but thankfully it should be reasonable to work with. I did minimal databasing, most stats are unchanged from default. Regardless, I'm satisfied enough with it. Best of luck to whoever gets it!

I can work in any of these, though I'm the least experienced in mv. 2k3 is my favorite to use for events.

EDIT: oh yeah, should prolly mention, if anyone needs an xp game finished, I'm totally wiling to do it. I think I'm gonna start my first half vxa tho.

Thank you for playing my game! I'm assuming you did your review before I posted the fixed up version that has puzzle hints and typo fixes. I'm glad you enjoyed it at least.
As for party members, I wanted to keep things as simple as possible so I could finish it on time, hence why there's only one party member usable in battle.

There's also a bunch of (probably similar) features available via the maniac's patch, which can be used with the steam version of 2k3. You'd essentially have to use those to make your own menu out of what it gives you, from what I can tell.
Reinventing the wheel to go up certain kinds of hills tends to be an ongoing theme with using 2k(3) in ways that the programs didn't accommodate for.
