I have not played this yet, but keep this in mind:
A boring game that goes by fast is better than a boring game that goes by slowly. If you want to err on the side of caution, make it too easy. Too easy is always better than too hard (this is a matter of considerable debate however).

I AM PLAYING THIS GAME
EDIT: I like it a lot. I have loaded up an magic characters like I often do. Is Craze' math correct and will they get more useless over time though? Maybe you should make a patch boosting the power of late-game magics. It seems like people think your game is too hard anyway!
EDIT: Also not being able to save anywhere is a bummer. I know you want that old-school feel, but . . .
. . . what if I have to quit playing for some reason?
