Transfer Between Maps - Showing Players Where Its At...? Confused...

I can't see anything. ):

Reminiscence: The WTF Saga

I like this game but it went bye-bye (as in it closed all by itself) on me after I tried to save which was after I beat the guard in that cave. So maybe you might want to look into what's up with that?

You should probably warn people that your game is hard though. I've been babied in so many games now, I've totally forgotten how to play properly. I died something like 10 times just because a bunch of slimes beat me up. Then I actually started using skillz and it all worked out.

I just want to mention that the innkeeper is a money-hungry bitch.

Bah, whatever. You just took it out of it's context and made it seem like I was completely at ease with the current situation. I mean, I made my first review recently in hopes of contributing something to this comm.

I have a few suggestions though.
1. Another Let's play something event
2. Maybe stop organizing "make a project" events for awhile? For example that Halloween project idea. Bad.
3. Encourage people to compete for a bigger review count?

Dude, did you read what I wrote after that?

Participation in the Game Making Community

It's just the way this comm is. It's not going to change with whining or wishful thinking. The members here are all indulged in their own little (or big) projects and between this and that don't have time to both work on their own stuff and check out other people's. Not to mention that a lot of games are released here monthly and it takes a while to actually play and finish them all. Or maybe because feedback is slow it might seem nonexistent? Also, quite a lot of people here forget that to be interesting, you have to be interested. If A didn't give a damn about B's game, why should B give a damn about A's game? I think that to fix this whole mess everyone should just freaking agree with each other and cooperate. Do what you can do and hope people follow your example.

Oversexualization of Females in Games

Eh, I know. Let's just write it off as a side effect of being a teenager.

Oversexualization of Females in Games

I know, sorry if I seemed defensive. It's just that, I dunno, characters are a really important thing in rpgs to me and forming relationships, especially romantic ones, makes the gaming experience that much better. It's not like Alex won't meet other cool PCs, but I'd just rather witness Alex and Ashley's meeting, with all the banshees flying around and trying to take over the world.

Oversexualization of Females in Games

I read the characters tab. :D But it's not like I said I'd quit the game, I said I'm not into those types of games.

Oversexualization of Females in Games

Absolutely. And on the topic of romantic and sibling love, I just remembered the incest in Lost Legacy. It made me go very "Eeeeeeeeeewwwwwww".

I've also noticed that I tend to not play games that have the character's relationships already established. For example if the main character already has a bf/gf or is married, or a game in which two brothers decide to go on an adventure, stuff like that.

Monstrous Wars

Eh, probably yes for the sake of the items section being pretty and organized, not so that you can't enter the attic. Anyway, some things that should be fixed:

There are some cliff tiles I could walk on during Toshi's dream.
One of the message boxes on the bottom of the screen in the kitchen is messed up.
The swords' sprite in the attic changes when you examine them.
In the closet after you get the 10 kaenos, the chest above the the jar's graphic disappears. Maybe move the chest somewhere else?
The top of the right pillar in front of Toshi's house shouldn't be shadowed.
There's a flying treetop to the right, in the area before you enter the town.
In the town, you can walk on top of all the potion bottles which kind of makes Toshi dance on top of random people's tables. Places like that are the gambling house and Walter's house.
You can step on top of the tyed dog.
There's a small mistake with Toshi's reflection in the water. From right next to the water guy (on his left side) you face the lake and it's all cool. But if you step left once and face the lake the reflection gets messed up.

This is a really awesome game with a lot of interesting ideas and I think it must have taken some admirable patience to do all those effects and sprite edits, but it really takes away from the gaming experience when you find things like that.
