Featuring babbling of himself about the game

Featuring babbling of myself...

Strange. I can't edit a blog post?

Well, btw, the book can be ordered physically on lulu.com (link on the goodies section of the website). It's a A5 format (one half of a printing paper), 60 pages, color booklet. Don't know what quality I should expect from the physical item. Order at your own perils... (*.*)

RMVXAce Workarounds

author=ArtBane
Thanks a lot Ness! I've had that no. 1 problem before in the past. Great to know there is a workaround.

Same here!
It was bothering me a lot, and the only way I found around it was to freeze all others animations before each dialog and reactivate all them after.
Which was quite a pain to do, and quite an hassle to watch.

Very clever workaround!

You Can't Do That In Zelda! Review

Sorry, but no.

Just NO.

I cannot let it slip.

No way, sir.

Not a one trillion years.

Not for a billion of dollars.

Not for the harem from the most hardcore, jiggles-physic filled, uncensored H-game.

While not as notorious as its sequel, The Adventure of Link, that first Zelda was still pretty difficult

WHAT?!
SAY WHAT!!!??!?!!
Zelda 1 is a deathstarload more notorious than Zelda 2. >:0
And difficulty speaking, only the second quest was a challenge. >:0
As long as you got the paper map and a Nintendo Magazine, it was a piece of cake.

Sir, you hurted my sensibilities here.
And now, I'm crying.
Your fault.

Oh, yes.
Nice review.

I found I can't access the second bonus area ...
To access it, you must first complete the second third main ruins, and then, from the hideout, go up.

If not... Well...
Look like I will have to do another set of complete playthroughs... :p

Life Precious

Hi! I played through for a while but my game crashed after the end of the boulder sequence - it said I was missing an audio file (this was the English version, if it matters).

So far I've really been enjoying it! The boulder sequence surprised me the first time and killed me immediately, but otherwise I like the management of time and money over the course of the game.

Missing audio file?
Fluck! I'll look at it right away (meaning this weekend, time is relative and such).

Thanks for your time, I'm happy to hear to enjoyed so far.
And yes, nobody expects the Spanish Boulderition!!!! *0*

EDIT:
Missing audio file corrected. Zip file updated.

Release Something Weekend

Following the herd: Life Precious

I probably made quite a load of mispells (and other grammatical monsters) in the translation. But given the numbers of lines to rewrite in a small timeframe, I don't think I could have done much better.

Looks neat.

Because it isn't the full picture.
The source drawing looks certainly something...
...but I'm still trying to figure what. :X

Tentative Game Introduction

author=WCouillard
Appreciate the suggestions, but you understand this is a first draft and not actually a finished scene, right?

Then why bother to recordcam it if it will change several times? :p

Since we're at it, is this cutscene interactive?
If not, it should.
I would let the player move around the tavern, talking to the bartender to know who to meet, talking to others NPC to get lore and mood, or directly go to its comrades if the player already knows this part of the game.

Tentative Game Introduction

I hear no music before the dungeon. Makes the whole scene dull and boring. You should play at least a BGS to set the mood, and begin the intro with the worldmap moving, not still. Add a dialog-with-dim-background to present the settings to the player. Ex : "This story begins on the yunuyiu continent, during the dark age of the uyuniuy evil empire. Despite its crushing power, some people are still fighting for freedom, if not for survival. One night, in a slums' tavern of tfbytbuy city."

The meeting scene could be improved.
In that kind of job, you prefer to be in the rear side of the bar, from where you can monitor everyone, without being spyed by any. You should stay near the backdoor, so you could escape if some police forces show up. Finally, you wouldn't choose a clean and regular tavern for shadowy stuff. You would prefer a more cramped, hostile booze-hole, where everyone has something to hide, especially from official representatives.
To this effect, I would add more animation in the background (two guys and a hooker, drunken people fighting at each others, faint lighting, bartender talking to customers, waitress coming back and forth, etc.).

A few words on game submissions.

Only 4/25??

Just wait for the summer holidays... I bet it will be even less.

Please remember that game pages must have 3 screenshots of in-game content.

My first game ( savior - will you save the world? ) was denied several times because of its lack of screenshots. Since it's only a 2 maps game, I could hardly offer more than 2 relevant screenshots. And since it was intentionaly ugly, it didn't help.
But in the end, it was well-received.

Oh the irony. :gloatingsheldon
