Perhaps make those trunks and foliage on the trees little darker, to make it blend in more? Other than that, I think it is shaping up nicely (I also hate pixelling trees. They are murder).

Perhaps you should offer some incentive to entice people to actually do this for you. Perhaps offer something like financial payment per number of portraits, or perhaps offer your services in exchange for these faces?
