Disabling A script while in game, [VX]

Not really clever because it still wastes processing power on locating and placing invisible sprites, but if it works it works.

I'm really not a fan of that title, and I mean the title, not the screen, It's way too long. I would just use "Keepers" in big letters and "of souls" (without restless) in a smaller font.
I'm practicing with some biggher sprites and tilesets for my next project (now that lost king is close to being finished) The sprite is a WiP but still I?m liking how it is going.
Do you like how a game looks with bigger sprites? I'm kinda getting tired of small ones...

maybe his head is too big though...

Looks good, but keep in mind a few things:

* Those trees are way too small. They are like the equivalent of a sapling to him.
* You are going to need much more detailed animations for those sprites. I hate when people use large sprites but don't do anything with them.
* The sprites will overlap when next to each other unless handled through scripting (although I haven't ever taken the time to look and see how difficult this is)
* +1 for non-white sprite

Relatively old but in all fairness I haven't aged in like 8 years.

Anyway, I have no problem with Prexus's wife not thinking that oversexualization of women in video games is a problem. I do have a problem with her attacking the people supporting the argument instead of the argument itself. If I said to you, "you don't agree that this is a problem because you're a misogynistic asshole who spends all of his time on 4chan masturbating to guro," it would be the same problem. It's incendiary, it takes attention away from the issue, and it has no real basis..

Just FYI, she has never attacked anyone regarding this. Infact, when I mentioned it to her, it was probably the first time she had ever thought about it.

However, in your original response you say that there is a time and place for it. Well unfortunately, videogames developed for an audience that is primarily male (this is changing, but still true) it is the time and place for it. The Bayonetta reference in particular was created as a silly, over the top, highly sexualized romp. That was the point. That was the design.

The reason I think that Dragon Age comes up as a "it really didn't make sense here" scenario is because everything else about the game is very... authentic? I mean, it's a fantasy game, but they went to the limit in terms of trying to create a full and realistic as possible world. I think there was a disjoint between the animators/modelers and the designers, or that the modelers were just really lazy and copypasta'd the bodies of all the females. It just doesn't seem right the way they did it.

That is an awful way of disabling a script lol. Actually, that could cause so many problems.. I don't even..

argh!

I only use an avatar so I can eyeball my posts more rapidly. I made these pixels like seven years ago for a game that was never completed.

That was the vampire game right? I am pretty sure I played the battle system demo for it :O

Disabling A script while in game, [VX]

It would depend on the script completely. It would need to have the disable feature scripted into it.

It would be best if you posted the script, perhaps a link to it properly formatted as Ruby code (pastebin.ca will do this for you) and someone can look at it, and if it doesn't have a disable feature they may be able to add one for you.

she agrees fully in that "The women who are distressed about the sexual portrayal of women in video-games are likely insecure in their own appearance.
...
Except the females in Dragon Age. Why do 50-60 year old women look identical to mid-20s women except for a wrinkle or two, and sometimes grey hair?"
this is hilarious.

Considering she isn't a 50-60 year old woman the two statements are mutually exclusive.
