I liked 8. It was still better than 9.

Crazy talk, IX showed the brilliance of what a Final Fantasy should and could be.
IX hearkened back the Final Fantasies' of old with it's focus on a storyline made to delight and capture the heart instead of being a shallow anime rip-off. IX, along with VI, V & II is amongst the best of the series, surely the best of the 3D series.

If FFXIII opened up its gameplay features earlier then the linearity wouldn't have been such a problem early in the game. For example, the battle-system is pretty amazing once you open up all the classes and the paradigm system, but they screwed it over by limiting it so much early on. The only reason I kept playing was because I liked the storyline and I was rewarded with an awesome game once those features did open up, but if you didn't like the storyline then I couldn't possibly blame you for putting it down.

I'll say, I enjoyed the story to XIII, but, it just didn't feel like a Final Fantasy to me. I think, XIII should maybe be it's own series under a different title. And also, would have to agree that the limits early on were a bad idea, it felt like hallway after hallway. The main issue though, was difficulty, the game wasn't really challenging, being able to start a battle over after dying really lessened the experience for me, and the music, it's just not a Final Fantasy without Uematsu.

...it was pretty bad tho...
Basically this. And yeah, I'm very doubtful that XIII-2 will be any good; the first one was god awful.
You misspelled "awesome."
Matter of opinion :D I hated FF 13, it was more like watching a movie than playing a game, and they took away many of the things that made earlier FF games better in my opinion. I tried to like it, got as far as the start of Pulse, but just couldn't. Great graphics, but that's about it, that doesn't make a good game. But that is my opinion, as long as you had fun playing it, it doesn't matter :D

Anyways, on topic, I also look forward to InFamous 2 (will try to wait until I can get it cheaper), and Bleach Ressurection, if I have more money by the time it comes out. Seriously, too many promising games coming out this year.

Ah yes, FF XIII, the hallway simulator, that being said, I have some hope deep within my heart that they can turn XIII-2 into something great. If not though, oh well, I have Radiant Historia to keep me busy. (Such an amazing game. =D)

Favorite videogame world.

For me;

Aselia (Tales of Symphonia/Phantasia)
The Universe of Star Ocean
Morrowind
The World of Sands of Destruction
The World of Radiant Historia
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy IV
Sakura Taisen's Universe
Mega Man's Classic Timeline (Classic - Legends)
The Battle Network portion of the Battle Network Timeline ('cause Star Force was horrible in every way.)

You know what amazes me about Square? Their ability to lose talent. I mean, think about it, damn near the entire Final Fantasy founding team is gone, Jeremy Soule went on to do more epic games like the TES series, I mean, Uematsu & Shimomura still contribute at times, but, they don't really have the powerhouse team they once had. Hell, even the Xenogears team had enough of Square.

Next thing you know they'll lose the Dragon Quest team, then what'll they have? I mean, they still have Star Ocean, & Valkyrie profile, but, those aren't even developed by them. Now, I grew up with Square, I do say though in my opinion Final Fantasy VIII is one of the worst games I ever played plot-wise, it's still my favourite and still a whole lot better than a lot of the dreck we wade through now.

It seems as though as the graphics become more human, the games themselves lose more of their humanity. I could not empathise with any of the cast of Final Fantasy XIII, I mean, hell, at least I liked one character in VII, Reno, overall, I think the entire industry is suffering, but, that looks to change, Mistwalker's looking to capture the magic of '87 all over again and though Blue Dragon is far from a good game in my opinion, they seem to be doing much better now with The Last Story.

And, I think I'll always be a Tri-Ace fan, I mean, they gave us the Tales & MegaTen series back at Wolf Team, & they're still making magic with Star Ocean, I just hope we see a new Valkyrie Profile soon. Capcom also needs to step it's game up, I'd love to see a new Capcom game, maybe Breath of Fire-esque, take back Shimomura, her music was the reason Street Fighter II was amazing (though it was already good).

Another point, though it seems like I'm all over the place, I don't see the appeal of Kingdom Hearts, it was overall just a bad game. The story was more post-Amano Final Fantasy dreck, but, with Disney characters, so you could see how it was an obvious cash-cow. Kingdom Hearts is the only game I've never beaten out of sheer boredom, I mean, I've stopped playing games because I've got too little time, or a corrupted save file or something, but, no, after an hour of pointless high-school fantasy drivel, I gave up.

But yeah, Squeenix'll never die, just hope they find more talent and learn how to keep them around this time, because, honestly, I couldn't imagine a Squeenixless world.

Cool anime theme songs:

Sorry for the necromancy, but, I like this topic. =D
Besides, it's a shame non of these 'ave been posted, most (except Sora no Oto) are classics and after NGE, SEL & RLW are amongst my favourites. >.>

Jeez, I think I've posted enough for now. >.>

Save Menu

Hm, I like it, quite a bit. It looks good, and the disappearing play time tab is an excellent idea.

Save Menu

Hm, yes, move the file tabs so they overlap the load one. I also like the idea of giving the illusion that the main tab is larger. I think that would be best, though, what I meant was to make the tabs both taler & wider.

Save Menu

It looks pretty good overall, I think though, that the "load" tab, should perhaps go under Tab 1 after the selection, and maybe make the tabs themselves slightly larger. But, other than that, I like it.

Whats your favourite Manga/Comic right now?

After years of there being nothing but mostly crap manga, I've settled in with Bakuman, & Claymore, I used to read Mirai Nikki pretty regularly, but, I haven't found time recently.

If I can find the time, I'll probably reread some of the more classic Jump works again, like Dragon Ball, or Houshin Engi, hell, maybe DNA^2.
