Mediocre attempts at humour.

AKA: tardis: the musical.
Some of my horrible songwriting. I've used many of the songs I'm going to record and post here in my various musical stand up acts over the last few years. Some of them go over great. Others, not so much. Expect, as the title states, thinly veiled attempts at being funny.

Note that these recordings are rushed and approached with a 'fuck it, good enough' attitude. Meaning I do everything in one take and put it up, good or not. I also don't warm up before I play/sing for these. Don't expect anything good.

Let's start off with a new song!

Dear George
feat. my speech impediment (although the lisp in the beginning is 100% put on)
Wrote this for my friend George when his wife had to fly out to Texas for her work. It's more jingle than song. I might add on to it later, I dunno.

And an old song...

The Popsicle Man
My friend and I wrote this for a band we were in for a while. The band was called Mortal Wombat, and we were absolutely terrible. This was our only original song.

Chiptune insomnia covers!

Onnette - Earthbound
Kuru Kuru Pedal - Earthbound
Terra Firma - FF6
Opera on the Moon - Duck Tales
Celery - FF6

The best of your highschool years.

Neophyte was right, we do need one of these.
What's the best thing that happened to you in highschool?

I recall a pretty incredible party I went to. There was a great deal of absinthe ingested that night. We all wound up playing truth or dare, except instead of the usual dares you'd expect, they were awesome in just about every way. I remember being dared to run up and down the hall with my pants on my head singing the national anthem. They made me start over every time I messed the words up. We also all listened to Africa by Toto. Best party ever.

Live Music!

I figure since we have a thread for general recorded media appreciation, why not one for music in its purest form- live performance. Talk about everything from your totally awesomelol garage band to the band you're seeing next week to crazy symphonies you've seen performed to opera. Or Oprah. But mostly opera.
Maybe an opera about Oprah.

A personal favourite: Tank Girl

Looking for a specific rm2k/3 util...

I seem to recall there was a tool out there for RM2k/3 that could export map files as .bmps, just as they appear in-game? I did a full wipe and system restore a few months ago, and now I don't have this program. Anybody remember what it was called/where I could find it?

This definitely made me smile.

Good stuff. That is all.

A somewhat-nooby question.

I've noticed that everyone has a "makerscore" and that I myself currently have 30, earned for submitting one review. I submitted another today, which was accepted, and my Submissions page states it has earned me an additional 30 makerscore. On the forums/everywhere else, I still have 30. Is there some special way this updates? Also, what purpose does/will makerscore serve?

It's a pretty stupid question, I realize. I should probably just accept that things are the way they are for a higher, mightier reason than I could comprehend, but I'm crazy and analytical and I like to know these things. :)

The Grammar Club

You'll only like this if you're into Nerdcore, but I think it's fantastic. Definitely a trip.
