One of my biggest character flaws is, when encountering any item/entity called "Great (X)," a COMPLETE INABILITY to resist quipping, "eh, maybe an OKAY (X)." Or variations on that theme.
I love the variation on this that's just repeating the title sarcastically. 'oh, great sword, dork!'

please don't be so hard on yourself! the fact that you learned from the original, and in fact learned so much that you can revisit it afterward and produce something that's already looking like such a massive hike in quality, is a big deal. it's going to be interesting comparing the two, and it definitely seems like excellent practice even besides that.
