I thought that each time. And we kept just getting hit. ):
Covid was first. Got that from a fluke. Then my wife got a bad cold from her retail job. Then MY job, which is working at a group home, gave us a nasty 24 hour stomach bug.

I am doing quite poorly, all things considered. :(
Hiding depressing stuff in case other people don't have the spoons for it:
Dad died 3 weeks ago of a random heart attack (and he was in pretty good shape too, so it was a terrible shock to the family), and just as some therapeutic RPGmakering was pulling me towards the light at the end of the tunnel of grief, and helping me find motivation to get up and actually DO things again...
The world was like "You know what you need? Existential dread and terror that you can do nothing about". Which is a doozy of a thing to deal with at the best of times, let alone while you're still processing grief.
If I did not absolutely love my day job, I would not be doing it. I would be curled up in my bed playing JRPGs and binge-watching winnie-the-pooh.
Like...After hearing how my dad died, I started trying to improve my diet and exercise more. But it's VERY hard for me to care about that right now. -_- So I'm stuffing my face with pasta and cookies and chamomile tea and hoping for the best tonight.
I'm going to keep on carrying on with my life and all that, but yeesh. Screw 2022 and the horse it rode in on. It seems like it's hell bent on screwing up everyone's lives, if the handful of posts of people having a rough time are any indication. :(
Sidebar: I'm serious that RPGmaker helped pull me out of the depression a little. Designing fun boss fights and seeing all those puzzle pieces come together to form a fun and engaging encounter lights up my brain and makes me smile.
Dude, I swear a similar thing happened to me a couple years ago. Though my dad had a 2 year swift decline. :(
Very sorry for your loss.
My recent game was literally one big way of coping with the loss of my dad. It was a curse and a blessing. I actually put some of my traumas I had from it all into it, as a way of coping. It weirdly helped me.
I would definitely recommend trying to keep yourself in shape nonetheless. There is a lot in life you cannot control, but doing small stuff like having some limitations on diet and some exercise every day is something you can control. (just a little is enough in my opinion, not everyone has to be a health nut)

My babby is now one year old. I finally went down to part time, THANK GOD. Despite that, still have been very busy. I've been stressed about marketing my dumb gam. Got sick THREE TIMES in the past couple months, despite not being truly sick for three years prior. (everyone in my family is fine now) My car's tires strangely have a fetish for random nails in the road, especially in winter time.
So for the few who cares, THAT'S why I've not been so active.

I suggest starting a much more interactive Twitter presence. You have a lot of content you can post about. Post gifs like nuts, do character introductions in however style you deem best, etc etc. You did a lot of this in past, but I say marketing can take a new beginning. These are my two cents haha. If you do tweet, try to use the right tags as well.
