Skills of an artist (Titlescreen)

I started with minus art skill. A lot of us who do pixel just force ourselves to understand it.

You say you do not have a knack, but everything you did there shows that you are likely just too hard on yourself.

It looks seriously great.

And EVERYTHING ever can be improved. There's a point to settle. Your title is definitely at that point. Good work.

Edit: I also want to point out, that just the logo and leaves on top would have been enough and fit the SNES vibe well.

Featured game!

Congrats! You deserve it.

RMN interaction has drastically decreased in past years for guys like us. A Ghostly Rose was totally ignored as a whole, while Three Ghostly Roses got a lot of attention half a decade ago.

This is something I would like to change and best way to do that is to try and interact here more than twitter.

PS that was a fantastic article Marrend posted. Kentona was spot on, but even then it was DRASTICALLY more active for actual users than it is now.

If you released this 10 years ago this would have been RMN rockstar status. It's just a grim reality. But if we want to change all of us have to simply like, post more. We don't HAVE to play a game before posting on their thread.

does anyone believe that I would feel guilty asking for help like this, like I am taking unfair advantage? because that's how I feel. Plus, there is the knowledge that I'm taking forever on this and that it is doubly-unfair that any help someone offers won't see the light of day for a long long time

This game made a connection with this site, we WANT to add to it.

If I want something to see the light of day right away, I'd continue working on my own stuff. The stuff I am giving to this is giving something back to you/this site, it's not about the instant gratification.

If you're interested, I can sometime ramble about various lessons I learned going commercial myself. Just try not to fall into the "commercial worthy" trap too often. Just for a quick point to make, the original one is already commercial worthy minus the copyrighted stuff you used, which I'm fairly sure is well on its way of being fixed.

thats called having a sense of mystery in your story posts

*looks up*

wow i really messed that post up lol

there's more of an effort to not redo the stuff I did already since i've vastly grown since (i wont dont worry haha)

There's so much fun stuff here

This forum is actually very cool and extremely helpful to devs. The discord is a good place to chat if those are your folk, but it doesnt have the same benefits as a healthy thriving rmn site.

It's me. I'm the hero.
