the fashion you wear is a representation of your soul. it is essentially your personality and character woven around your body like a shield, protecting you from the haters, or inviting them, if you dress like a dumb idiot.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Your style of clothing isn't a reflection of your soul, or your deepest personality, or anything of the sort. It's just a uniform. A thing to change how people see you. Something to make you look like the people you want to be like, and something to let others recognize certain things about you at a glance. It only has meaning because it's associated with the people who wear it (and those people wear it because of that meaning, circularly). Almost no one is truly original in their choice of clothing, though the copying is probably subconscious 90% of the time.
Avatars are sort of different because there's far less of a recognizable pattern to them. Both tell you things about the individual person, but clothing does it in a very standardized and well-defined way. Avatars have way more variety, and there are far fewer people with avatars than people with clothes, so sometimes it's a slightly trickier science. But the basic idea is probably the same, except there are more instances of originality instead of subconscious copying (but honestly not a LOT more).

I dunno about you guys but I wear the clothes that I wear because I like to look good. how other people see me is a nice bonus, but that's all.
