Wall stone, sir?
I won't do anything until you decide what to do with the bitten. We must have things planned out thoroughly if we are going to let so many in at once.

The alternative is leaving them out there to be overrun, and I thought we had all agreed to require searches. We should have medical technicians (if we have any) among the military checking for symptoms of the infected.

Guys, I'm really sorry for not having posted in here for a while. The McBacon Jam is simply eating up all my time. After it's ended, I'll be more active again, promise.
No problem, take as long as ya need, I'm in no hurry, this gives me time to come up with more events.
Jonathan McArmite:
Good day then, dear fellow council members. As promised I designed a set of laws for our community that should apply well to the dire situations we have experienced and are about to experience. Let me give you a synopsis:
First of all, I propose the following guidelines regarding the treatment of outsiders, possible Infected, confirmed Infected, and confirmed Zombies.
Generally, outsiders should be welcomed to join the settlement, under the condition that they are searched and questioned first. They also must surrender their weapons to the council and promise to not form a separate sub-community inside our walls. We want everyone to mingle well in order to prevent friction among artificial factions.
Whoever is suspected or confirmed to be Infected, but not a full Zombie yet, must be brought into quarantine for a full check and, in case of an infection, kept separate from the other citizens until a cure is found. While killing people who still have humanity left in them is not acceptable, under no circumstances can we allow the infection to further spread within the walls of our settlement.
Individuals who are confirmed to have entered the final stage of infection and have become Zombies must be eliminated on sight. In cases where the classification is unclear, they must not be carelessly approached, for reasons of safety. Rather, they must be caught or subdued, checked, and then dealt with accordingly.
Do I have your assent?

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

I have no objections to your proposed laws.

I'll get right on setting everything up, while I'm doing that, you guys should decide some building decisions, we'll have another 100 wood ready soon enough, and if you feel like the scouts should look for something, then now is the time, because if these zombies get any closer then it might get too dangerous them to go out.
Scout abilities:
-Search
-Focused search
-Hunt
-Wait

All the people are accounted for. Some had injuries, but none were bitten. According to them, they haven't seen zombies in months.
However, we I have some bad news. The zombie horde has moved faster than expected. We need to shore up our defenses quickly. Our workers in the mine, quarry and in the forest. Do we send people to rush them into the walls or do we have them defend where they are? The zombies risk intercepting them if they try to get to the gate, but here is where we are best defended.

We are about to do a battle!
Here's how this is going to work;
I will provide a map of the settlement with a grid.
On the grid will be blocks filled with dark red. These are the enemy positions at the beginning of the battle.
You guys will have 48 hours to discuss the position of your troops. I will mark those blocks with blue (Two people per block)
You may only place as many willing fighters as you have available
I will then run the battle with dice rolls and such, providing map updates in one post for you guys to view, along with some commentary from some characters and NPCs
Due to the people you let in and high influence, you guys have 30 people to place.
The council also may place complete control of troops for the battle into one of the council's hands if they want, it could be taken to a vote if someone disagrees, or it could be taken by force with the right skills and/or items

General Sir Alastair Barret Carlisle:
I believe it is prudent to defend our gate, as it is a weak spot in our wall. If we can shoot at the zombies from inside the settlement, our troops should be positioned along the Eastern wall on the inside of the camp. If not, we position them close to the gate where we can order them to retreat back into the settlement when the gravewalkers start to get too close. We have an opening in our wall to the far South of our settlement, but we can easily observe the zombies, and if they show any sign of heading towards the South, we'll have more than enough time to reposition our men to guard the South. The South path is long and straight, without cover, so we should be able to take out any undead taking the Southern route with relative ease.
I do not want to lose any men this battle, and we should not have to, if those zombies are slow enough.

General, I'm not a soldier and have never studied tactics, but doesn't the zombie approach to our gate create a bottle neck for them?

General Sir Alastair Barret Carlisle:
If our walls are strong enough for them not to be able to break through, then yes, it should, and it would be best to leave our gate open to lure them into the bottleneck. Which is one of the reasons why I want my men on the inside, if possible. If my men are inside, they can just take out the zombies while they are trying to walk through our gate.
If they CAN break through our walls, I want men on the in- and outside, to prevent them from reaching our wall but so we also have a backup in case things go horribly wrong outside.

Because zombies are mindless, they tend to be more like a force of nature and nature always follows the path of least resistance, or at least that's what I've always been told. I'm sure they can eventually break through our walls, but creating an opening would make them less likely to do so.

The door to the meeting hall bursts open and in steps Mr.Grey. He quietly walks over to an open seat and sits down.
Mr. Grey
Hello everyone, if you don't mind I'll be here to listen to your plan of action. I do hope that after traveling half way across the country to check up on this place, that we don't die.

(Sorry everyone. I wasn't able to access the internet this weekend.)
Jonathan McArmite:
I am of the opinion that our people in the mine, quarry and forest must be called to retreat immediately. If they are outside while we defend the settlement, they will be easy prey for the zombies.
Also, General Sir Carlisle, may I suggest placing additional obstacles and barricades on the way we expect the zombies to come towards and into our camp? That way, we can divide and slow down the horde. It's a tactic that works well against revolts and protests, so it should be applicable here, too.

Final decision must be made in 24 hrs. Or the settlement is going to have a rough time.
I also must ask SEIROMEN?! ARE YOU ALIVE? IF YOU'RE DEAD SAY SOMETHING!
