SETTLEMENT: ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE (GAME)

Jonathan McArmite:
I still simply cannot comprehend how such an atrocity could happen in the middle of our home! Right from the beginning, I advocated that security measures for the council members should be taken. It did not happen, and now see what calamity has arrived. The way things are organized in our settlement cannot stay like this, or we will face a dark future.
And during the last months, the guards kept giving us reasons to doubt their honest commitment to our common cause. The fact that they did not prevent this incident underlines that more than anything. General, I'm afraid you will have to explain this to the public in a very thorough manner.
In the meantime, I support the formation of a guard-independent police force that answers solely to the council. The guards should focus on protecting our home against dangers from the outside. The police, however, should be responsible for the security inside the settlement, protecting us against crime.
Mr. Golden, despite your rather critical attitude towards the police forces of the past, you seem to have some strong ideas about how they should be formed. Would you be willing to find some people within the settlement you deem capable and up to this task? I will try to contribute as well. The sooner we have a trustworthy, able force to investigate this tragedy and prevent further ones from occuring, the better.
Doctor Galvant, in times like these, your abilities are of enormous importance. Not just for the council, but even more so for the safety of the people. I'm sure your expertise will be highly valuable for solving this crime and treating possible victims of future incidents. I vote the medical centre you asked for should be given extra priority. You have a great responsibility and should get all the help you can to cope with it.

Yes, I think I would be interested. Like Mr. McArmite, I feel that our police force should be independent of the army. The current size of our community shouldn't require any more than a sheriff and some deputies. My biggest criticism was of police forces of the past was the disconnect between community and police, which led to police viewing civilians as an enemy force. That made them not much different from a standing army. In our community, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. As for investigative training, I have none, but I'm doing the best I can to help fill an obvious void.
Okay, I'm going to go and have a look at the scene myself.

Well, I can tell you this: he didn't die in his tent. He was killed somewhere else and brought back. In order to find out anything, we'd have to know where he died.

Oh, th-thank you, Mr. McArmite.
How exactly could you tell his body was moved, Obadiah?
Maybe we should focus on the changing of laws to prevent this now? Or other matters? I like the idea of getting a research center. I have an immune survivor just waiting to be studied - all I need is that center!

No blood in the tent. It means he was killed somewhere else, bled out, and brought to his tent. Even if the killer did kill him in the tent and cleaned up after him or herself, there'd be no way he or she could get rid of all of the blood. He or she couldn't have replaced all of the fabrics and his or her only effective means of getting rid of such evidence would be to burn the evidence. If he or she were interested in covering tracks, burning the tent would have been easy and we might not have even realized it was murder. My thought is that he was killed elsewhere where the killer did his or her work, patched up the body and then brought him home in the dead of night. 2:30...killed half an hour before the witching hour.
I am going to research methods of locating blood. It seems to me that there was some sort of liquid you could spray and it would glow in the dark if it landed on blood...
