MAFIA: IS THIS WEREWOLF? [MAFIA]
Posts
I definitely did have to claim. look at the way discussion was going and where the votes currently are. besides that we're in too deep to stop now.
i am currently most suspicious of the lone vanilla town role

@cave: I'm not really how you'd expect to ever wield that power successfully, you'd be just as likely to get targeted by the other million roles around as much as killed by scum.
@piano: No, everyone has to claim. Otherwise scum just says "my role is too good to reveal to you all."
@Aneko: You're going to have to be a lot more specific on how your role works. Do you target someone at night? How do scum "notice" you? What do you mean by "targeting," is that who they're attempting to kill? What did you do last night?
I guess order doesn't matter much any more seeing as how there are only three unclaimed.

Yes, that's why i didn't wanted to do this whole claiming thing, it looks fishy af.
Not that i did anything to stop it i guess.
It's not necessarily false, I was totally prepared to add a lone vanilla to my game as a cruel joke. Going to withhold judgment until other claims are in.
I didn't use my power last night. I can spy on the werewolves or the mafia to see who they are going to kill yes but if my power doesn't work I will get caught and I will die
I didn't either JJ but I felt like if I didn't I would be called scum because as PSY says "it would be too good to reveal."
By "or" are you implying that werewolves are separate from the mafia? How would your power "not work?" And I don't understand what the result of a successful use of your power would be... we're going to see who scum were planning to kill by finding them dead in the morning.
Psy, werewolf is the alternate name for mafia. I should have said that when you asked earlier. That's why Cap always calls scum "Wolves".
Yeah, I'm aware, but I when I phrase a question to the mod generally and get an answer that's more specific than what I asked (like more than a "yes, you block the nightkill" or "no, you don't" I can't rule it out that was for a reason, like some weird multiball setup.
it whichever is specified in this case it would be werewolves I guess. I have the option to spy on them if I want to find out who they want to target and kill. if it's blocked by something its ineffective and if someone spots me I die.
Well, remember, it's also a strong likelihood there's a vigilante for you to block in case of a misfire. I wouldn't make a scum night kill blockable either. I actually made that mistake in my first game. It breaks game balance. That's why scum had two night kills that game, because I had inadvertently created a situation where Ratty and TangledLion could tag team scum.
Lone vanilla looks most suspicious to me too. I should go ahead and do my full claim now too.
My role is the bodyguard. I can defend one person per night, and I will get a message back if I successfully defended them. It also has different effects depending on how it is used. If I defend myself, I stop the kill and nothing else happens. If I defend someone, and the attacker was town, then I die in the persons place. If I die, and the attacker was scum, then I counterattack and kill scum.
The second reason is why I didn't offer to defend someone else when psy said I might be bulletproof. The third reason is why I was trying to keep the full effect under wraps, but it is no longer in our best interest to keep it hidden now. Most likely I'll be night killed first now.

Personally, I think scum is going to be more inclined to fake claim than to say they're lone vanilla just because being an odd one out isn't going to look good to the rest of town. Then again, saying you're vanilla is a good way to get out of claiming.
My big question is, if demon isn't using his power, and I'm the only one that has confirmed to use mine, why didn't scum night kill last night?
