I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Skills that can one-shot enemies are probably pretty stupid at any stage of the game, unless there are a lot of enemies per battle, or only one party member.

I mean, there are a hundred other things to consider to come up with a real answer. But with the way you're phrasing the questions, I'm going to assume "default RTP game" for all of them.

As the players advance a little deeper in the game, enemies at the beginning will be one-shot killed by more powerful skills.

Enemies in my game are likely to be one shot killed by the characters special attacks, not usually by most simple skills such as casting fire or ice. Takes more effort than that most of the time. Trust me I hate that as much as you guys. Going to try create a balance. Also in my game, enemies use more powerful skills and are usually more threatening the stronger you get. So weaker enemies will still pose a threat if you are not careful.

I've been waiting for a callback after a job interview I had the other day and it sucks! :c

While waiting, I've been databasing in Excel instead of Ace's editor; it seems much easier for me to organize. There's plenty of things in it like skillsets, weapon notes, and crafting notes.
I edited some sprites too: a battle spritesheet for one minor character, a bunch of Mack-style recolors for NPCs, as well as some death poses for armored soldiers.

After a long relationship I finally decided to switch from rm2k3 to rmxp. I came to the point where I almost finished the menu I was eventing, allready made a couple of custom battle system versions (which were eventually just deleted to make something better) and thought about why I was actually using the program. To be honest, it was only to proove to myself I could make systems which were thought to be to hard to event or not even possible to make at all. Cherry's patches helped me a lot to get rid of a lot of hard work (for example the picpointer patch made it fairly easy to make menus based on one portion of code).

Anyways, enough is enough. I've proven enough. I know I can do the stuff and that should be enough. Concidering I've got a small amount of time at hand to put in this hobby I decided to switch to rmxp, which makes much of the work really easy.

So the result? I've been modding the rmxp standard menu to look and work the same as the cms in rm2k3 did (which I posted earlier this month). You might see some familiar sprites, since the battle system by Atoa is used as a base for the project.

Working on a battle test demo for PLEASE STOP EVILGOD, based on the idea of EJECTION. You can completely Jettison your allies and then have a random reserve member pop in. This would be important due to how Energy (your skill resource) regenerates.
Still forever mapping~ Did manage to get my overpass/underpass fully 100% working. The only downside is that I can't have any events near anything that would be on said tiles that flip...in fact, I had to do such a workaround that a lot of the tiles ended up flipping around, so ALL events tend to phase through the world. Ugh...
Right now I am waiting for my box copy of VX ACE to get in the mail. I only ordered it a week ago. I guess I should say I am working on my patience :P
If we are going for little snibbets: I have one week of holidays and apart from the usual shores I'm getting more and more familiar with RmXP. Appart from the usual +'s. I must say it's a personal + I'm getting the hang of this scripting fast. Not needed to say I allready got most of the menu and battle system set up (function wise). Now I just need to get the last graphic changes done and work on database set up and fine tuning =).

You basically play Scenario's for 4 characters. You open up new ones later in the game. But you only got one scenario for Ash(not pokemon Ash, stop connecting everything to other games!!!!11 jk)

Working on changing the battle backgrounds. They are indeed edited rips from the SNES Dragon Quest. I couldn't really find any other that would fit the style I'm trying to go for, and I'm not so confident in my landscape spriting abilities to do it myself. :[ but what do you think about it?

Also added a bestiary, I'm thinking of requesting something custom, however. I also need to figure out how to completely purge the "LUK" stat from existence, because accuracy in RPGs are somewhat of a curse.
I made a series of fake glitches. Seriously.

I have a cheat code that lets you visit an area, only it's dummied out for the later game. So I made a lookalike with impossible enemies and weird tilesets. You can leave fairly easily though so it's no problem.
I've been working on Hold the Line 2 tower defense game. Currently trying to flesh out all of the menus in the game state manager. Adding general polish and shininess.
Currently working on combat and map screen interfaces for my game. It's a juggle between having enough useful options, while still keeping things as aesthetic as possible.
