Perhaps I'm a jaded old soul from the dark days of the internet. But I lost the spark of fun in it years ago. It's just a task to do now, heh.

Those are some nice edits though.
that's a shame to hear! maybe try refining a different skill instead? it might come back to you again if you spend some time with a different set of skills.

In all fairness, bird shrapnel isn't as deadly as wood shrapnel

Speaking of spriting, I had finished making a frankensprite for my main character, as well as edited one of the skin tones in RPG Maker VX Ace's generator parts to match it as a "race template". Ah, the wonders of Paint.Net~
Spriting some custom resources as well.

WIP, obviously.

Finally finished spriting...Mutants get their own unique sprites for each class now, instead of the generic male/female mutant sprite for all of them. Glad that's finally sorted out. Also finished the game's leveling system(or a solid version of it, at least. It'll probably change a bit), so the game is significantly more functional now. Next I've got to work on the Monster race, and then I'll finally get started on Robots.

My final act for the night was actually pretty simple. I added in a "Skip Introduction" option for new games, because I don't see a reason to need to sit through it whenever a new game is started.
I am currently working on my Tile C for my horror project The Haunted World: Hell's Gate. It's coming together nicely, I think. Everything is made by myself. =)

I like the beds! The TV seems to have a weird perspective, though. Everything else looks very isometic while the TV is at a totally different angle.
Thank you! I thought so, too. But I don't really know what causes the effect. I guess I'll give it another go and redraw it completely. Maybe it's the fact that it faces the front completely and looks more like a piece of paper-tv that way? I dunno, I have to experiment a bit. :)
No need to redraw it. It just needs to appear more 3D, or box-like (even if it's a flat screen). Even just something simple like this:

(but done better than that, obviously)
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Your shading needs some help, it's all pillow shading. Which, uh, I guess is fine on the actual pillows. But if you're interested in improving the other stuff you really wanna read this article.
The shading tutorial is very insightful and I'd recommend everyone to see it, but...

i laughed so hard at this for some reason, holy shit

As far as my game goes, still gotta finish up the ending and work on the other difficulty modes and whatnot. I've been kinda slackin' off, tbh.
@LockeZ: Well, I don't really want to shade anything too fancy, since that's not the kind of art style the game will have. The article certainly is interesting, though. I have to say, though, that this is a work in-progress. That means even the objects that seem to be done aren't actually 100% done. I'm not at the shading part at all - if I had placed shadows already, you would see shadows under/beside the actual objects. But thanks for the article. That will help once I come to the actual detailed parts. =)

@UPRC: That looks better already. Thanks! I try to make it appear a bit like your improved version. =)

I wish I had your enthusiasm.
I keep telling you to convert to tablet spriting :<
It's been some months since I've worked on my game (Pokémon X/Y stole my life), but I've been getting back to gamemaking again recently. Feeling like doing some graphics work, so I've been updating some existing monster animations and creating some completely new monsters as well.
Short video showcasing some of the new and improved animations on my 2 basic monsters.

It's talking about shading, not shadows. Two totally unrelated things. You have already shaded your couch, bed, refrigerator, toilet, bathtub, etc. You've just done so in a way that looks extremely bad, worse in fact than if you hadn't done any shading at all. If you want to go Earthbound style and do no shading at all, then do that, but drop the pillow shading, it's ruining your otherwise very good sprites.

That looks really spiffy! How long did it take you to implement the animated monsters and the enemy HP bars?

Thanks. Both are done thanks to plugins. Enemy HP Bars plugin by Cerberus, and the animated monsters plugin by dragonheartman. You can find both somewhere on this site (don't have the links ATM).
