Blog 19: Profile page has hit 50,000 views

Hello fans,

Just want to say that Seraphic Blue's profile page has now hit exactly 50,000 views as of this posting. An achievement indeed, heh. It may not be anything much, but nonetheless, thank you everyone for checking out Seraphic Blue!

Well, now that the 1st half of the game is out, I'll just give a quick update on my progress in translation. I'm now about 3/4 of Episode 27 done. Re-translation is now at a slightly lesser priority than moving forward with the translation (that of course doesn't mean re-translation will stop! It will still continue.) Counting down from now till Christmas 2013, I still have 17 more episodes (plus the epic long ending and epilogue) to go...I will still keep within my target, though of course I also do not want to rush at the same time. Here's just wishing myself luck in pulling through this.

In the meantime, here's a video to showcase what's to come for the remainder of the game. I can assure you that the 2nd half of the game is more action-packed (and harder) than the 1st half.

I will have more videos coming right up, and in fact, I'll have a lot more to post about Seraphic Blue even after I finish translation, not just in part to my work on this game, but also misc. stuff and trivia that you may not actually know about. I'll save all that when the time comes, though, so enjoy this video and stay tuned for more!

The second half of the game is harder? 0.0
Of course. Well, to be exact, it's more strategy and challenge involved in the 2nd half of the game rather than higher difficulty. :p

can't make a bad game if you don't finish any games

(that's the joke)
I'm hoping it has more actual dungeon romps to be honest.

Part of my beef with the game as of late is that it curbstomps games like Xenogears & Xenosaga in cutscene time.

Quite literally after Three Streak Peak (And the goddamn serpent jerk boss there might I add D:), it's quite literally 99% cutscenes or moving to a town to view cutscenes and 1% actual combat for like 2 hours or something like that.

Like seriously, I don't get irritated with watching cutscenes. That section of the game got me irritated because I think literally nothing of significance really happens for like half of that 2 hour run.

In any case, can't wait to see how I get lucky in surviving fights I deserve to game over in when the 2nd half of the game gets released. That episode 24 boss man D:. Still don't know how I did not game over on it.

Yeah, the episodes from 20 to 23 are pretty much full of cutscenes (except for a boss fight in between), which is why when I released this new version, I decided to stop at 24 and not at 22 (which would be the actual halfway point) as originally planned.

Not to worry, though. From Episode 25 all the way to the end, expect about 11 more dungeons and many, many boss fights :)
