Full game download is now out!!

Alright ladies and gentleman, here is the full version of the game!
Tons of bugs/glitches have been worked, balancing has been updated,
along with many other features!

Testing this massive game has proven challenging
and while I'm sure it is pretty polished up, there may
still be some small little issues lingering around.

If you happen to encounter any problems or bugs along the way of your journey, please feel free to let me know so I can go ahead and fix it up! :)

stuck in Arman Ruins' lever puzzle room. Can't get to the top lever in time (only given 2 seconds to reach it)

Try hitting the top lever second to last, that should give you more time
did I miss something? I can't proceed further in the volcano dungeon. I can't find any items in my inventory that can let me pass those strange mark on the ground.

I don't think so, the item is found within the dungeon itself so it seems to be a progression issue, missing a key maybe?
Time for another bug report since I have found a good deal of things, and a couple of them could make you have to reload.

There is an old farmer outside who is messed up after you complete his quest. He says: IHello there boy! How are you liking theMeadow Fields? They're such sight huh? The I in front of hello shouldn't be there, the and meadow need a space betweem then, and you need an a between such and sight.

On the molten relic description, it says it improves the skill *rapid sunder*, but leons actual skill name is fierce sunder.

If you have to redo the packing quest at mithos port, it doesn't mention the oars are rotten the second time and up. Also on the second time through it says the life rings look a little small, while the first instance doesn't have that.

When you give a crate to big bob in mythos port: you put caring when it should be carrying.

you can trap yourself in the underwater section when kappo is following you. I went into a single tile corridor, he moved behind me (and he blocks you in his non-swimming state), and when I tried to move right he would not move. His movement seems to be rather glitchy all around since he doesn't always follow me as well.

If you open the beastiary while underwater, ren appears on top of it.

After freeing jenga in the water temple, if you go back down the same underwater area and come back up, the scene repeats itself. This also seems to seal the door again which forces a reload.

Edit: It seems approaching the caves now freezes me in the kappo settlement and I think I know why. I was backtracking to turn in a quest, and I decided to test the flute while I was there. It worked fine in that it said it can't be used here, but it also reverted my move speed to as if I was on land. If I transition maps it fixes itself, but if I try to swim into a cave after that fix, then the game freezes.

Awesome finds man, I really appreciate that! I'm glad they're mostly typos for the most part, but that last one is pretty nasty, I'll go ahead and fix it up, I've already tidied up everything else you've reported!

With a big game, comes a higher possibility of some faults here and there, even with me checking myself continuously. I hope it's understandable, and will lead up to an even better experience overall :)
Glad I can help! I also just edited one other thing in there because I backtracked to turn in a certain quest only to find out what I thought once worked is now glitching.

Edit: When I said the flute, I meant the song of winds. I figured I should clarify that.
So you're saying I should proooobably redownload the game again and transfer my save?

Oh, and Koopa, I forgot to add: your music selection is top-notch! I've loved all the tunes I've heard so far. They're very fitting. Also, how long did it take to work on all of those animated monsters? I still cannot believe how much time and effort you poured into this game! It definitely shows.

I just beat the third (?) boss. It came out of nowhere! Good thing I was prepared. Definitely a few notches above the drake in terms of difficulty.

Strangely enough, I'm continuously drawn to this game. "Oh, should I go play more of Dragon Quest VIII? No! Lakria Legends. It must be Lakria Legends...!"

Honestly, though, I haven't even been this compelled to play a commercial game in a long time, let alone an indie/RPG Maker title! It's nice to finally get that feeling back.

Thanks man, it means a lot to hear that! I'm sorry that the release wasn't what I thought it'd be lol I should have expected a few mishaps and problems here and there, hopefully I can clean up and keep going, I'm sure you could relate to that when you had your game release!

The animated monsters did actually take a while lol almost to the point where I can't remember when I started on them. I think I may have also come across a bug that will crash the game on the 5th dungeon :[ I've fixed it and updated it in the download already but your copy is more than likely to have that bug unfortunately. If it does happen, I guess you could reapply the save to the new download. I just feel bad having all this happen when I had tested it so many times already lol
Don't worry, the release has been great. Bugs are likely to pop up no matter how much testing you do. I just happen to be really good at it.

I'd say right now everything has been great, though I do have one single complaint. When I clear one of the big dungeons, I have to spend time killing the boss, and then watch a long cutscene before I get to see how well I actually did. The first dungeon I wasn't expecting it and missed an item so I reloaded to get it, second dungeon I was thorough and s ranked first try, then this third dungeon I had to retry once because I missed a single item in a pot. I don't mind so much long cutscenes, though it is a little annoying having to watch them twice in the event I miss something.

Really enjoying the game though. Commercial games aren't what they used to be, and it's not often one finds good rpgs anymore. I'm sure I'll have another list for you as I get even farther.

Edit: Major bug found! (Don't worry about it to any others who read this, as you'd have to deliberately try to exploit to have found this).

Minor bug: While watching the scene in the transit passage (water temple), you can see malakai in the background while talking to jinn, even though hes supposed to appear after all of that.

Major bug: In every map within rens mind, as well as the space part, you can use use the song of winds to teleport which would completely break the game. Uncertain if this applies to the astral realm part where shiro resides as well.

Edit: Another one found. I got the meaning of the statue on the deserted island, played natures embrace, and it said it upgraded my flute to play underwater. The problem is my character is completely frozen after this, and I can't even open the menu.

When ren regains consciousness on the deserted island after visiting the astral realm, he says he was probably dizzy or something (probably so the captain and them don't find out about the astral realm), and then serene asks if shiro knew anything while they were still in front of the captain, and then the captain doesn't even question who shiro is. Seems like an oversight here.

Final edit (at least for this post): I'm going to stop here for now. I'm not currently at a place where I don't think the newest flute bug would hinder me, but it could possibly hinder me later. I'll wait till you are around to post your thoughts on it.

Alright, just fixed up everything once again that was listed! Turns out the switch that doesn't let you warp in dungeons turns off after you use the Transit Passage, you're not supposed to be able to warp until you hit Ishen after finishing the Water Sanctuary. Ahh, that sucks about getting frozen after getting the waterproof flute buff, it'll only come in handy for something optional later on in the game, but yeah. As far as I know, I don't think the warping should be buggy from here on out.

Only got the silver key and already used it to open the room with molten crown. Well, I will search the dungeon again.
I'm loving this game and I'm so happy that you were finally able to release the full thing. It's something I've been looking forward ever since I played the demo several years ago. I'm still near the beginning, but so far it feels like a commercial, early PSOne RPG and that's a good thing.

The only gripe I have so far is having to hold Shift to run. I don't see any reason not to run, unless there is a stealth section or something later on, so having to hold it down gets a bit annoying after a while.

A couple -small- bugs I've run into so far-- if you open one of the library books when you're standing next to an NPC, you will talk to the NPC and read the book at the same time so the events begin to overlap. Also, there is a orange circle in Westwood Creek where I'm using the side party dancer and nothing seems to happen. Oh, and is there a way to do a page up/down in the bestiary? I can see this being iffy later on when I have to scroll through dozens of enemies starting from #1 to find the entry I want. Lastly, in the Inner Mind puzzle after the first dungeon, I seem to remember there was an FMV at the end. This didn't happen this time and it just showed the planet twice and then the game moved back to Shiro. But Ren was talking about seeing the falling star which I think was part of the FMV? Not sure if this is a bug.

Oh and I have to say, the music is absolutely fantastic. I've actually YouTube'd some of the tracks to listen to them outside of the game. They're that good.

Glad to see you back enjoying the full game! To address some of those bugs, I'd imagine the books and npc thing is happening because of using the enter key for the action, since it's a parallel process event, it seems to activate both. Also, I may have to change that little area in Westwood Creek, the first sign you find there is actually yellow, but due to some colors, I can see how it looks a bit different. And yes, in the Beastiary, left and right arrow keys will go up and down by one entry, up and down keys will go by 10 entries. :)

Yes, the composer really outdid himself for this game, I love the dedication and work he's put into the game. I can't possibly thank him enough. Also, I just barely updated the full game download with a version that fixes a certain crash later in the game, not sure if you'd want to pick that one up before you go even further lol, been cleaning up things here and there that people have been reporting
Great Game. Squidy give me my pirate hat damnit!

Edit: Is he a multi-encounter or is it just a low drop rate on rare items that first fight?

The hat and saber are rare drops, the relic is 100%. You can also find the Pirate Hat off certain enemies later on too
Couple of bugs to mention, one which made me stop playing because I don't know if it will fix itself, and it's a major thing.

Minor bug: Right before the angry spirit fight within the forgotten tomb, you typed soliders instead of soldiers. Easy enough typo to fix.

Major bug: After I exited the tomb and the cutscene played where the boulder blocked the entrance, I could no longer open my menu. I was worried it wouldn't fix itself so I decided to report this to see what you could find out.

The good news is this is a relatively short list this time.

In the Forgotten Chamber, when leaving while the poison gas activates, did you use the flute during that area? Just found out that using it won't reset menu privileges which I'll fix. Normally, you can find any side party member insignia and walking on it will reset your ability to use the menu.
I did use the flute once to play the song of nature in order to get a quest relic. That must of been what did it. I know the flute spot was blocked before the boss, but I didn't check to see if it was unblocked after the fight, but before I took the story relic.

Yup, that's what did it, it's that flute mark, it doesn't reset the menu and achievement properties.
On the bright side, it's only that specific one that'll do that. I went ahead and fixed this too.

Copy. Yeah it is actually yellow. Anyway I edited into my last post the note about the FMV in the demo that was absent in the full version...wonder if it was removed or if it was a bug.
