Pocket Mirror is an original mystery horror adventure game made using RPG MAKER VX ACE. During the development of this game we have gotten our inspiration from various japanese RPG MAKER games of the same genre such as Ib and The Witch's House which have motivated us to create our own.

※ The game isn't suited for people with a nervous disposition for things such as horror and graphical horror such as blood and brutal deaths.
※ Please note that it relies on an exceptional amout of symbolism which may be hard to understand throughout the first playthrough, so multiple playthroughs may be advised.
※ To get the best experience out of the game we recomment the player to use headphones and adjust the screen brightness accordingly.

1,8 GB of what?
My guess is uncompressed music or uncompressed movies. That's usually what does it.

This is exactly the case. An updated build, which will be several hundred megabytes smaller, will be uploaded soon-ish.

Stay tuned for that if 1,8GB is too hefty for your connection.
Thanks for the clarification, Liberty.

It's really not too for me. 9.5gb free on C:, 268gb free on E:, 15.5gb free on F: and no download cap.

For me it's more a bad omen. Any dev (and most gamers) know that one of the biggest warning signs of development issues is when a dev rushes to meet a deadline rather than just delaying it by a day. Releasing a game before even compressing anything is a sign of this mentality. I'll wait for the hype to die down and see if it's worthwhile after that.

The other issue with MEGA is that it requires you to download twice... meaning that you're really downloading 3.6GB, not 'just' 1.8GB.

Great for those of us who have limited data usage, btw. (not)

Why you don't use JDownloader? That way you have no twice Download and no File Size Limit if you download.
does anyone know how the hell you're supposed to get out of the mirror maze? i'm seriously stuck

Apparently it's a 'sound puzzle' where you need to put focus on the footstep sound effects. But since the music is so loud you need to turn off the bgm to hear it properly (Hearing impaired mode doesn't help).
Okay, what am I doing wrong?
Towards the entire : "win games against more than unstable toddler", I win all the games like the walkthrough says but then at the chair game, it always stops in the middle and I end up getting a bad ending, no matter how hard I try? Am I missing something

OH MY FLIPPIN GEE!

After 2 years, I am so excited! ^ ^
I played it, and I really liked it, but I was a little disappointed with the ending. Maybe they'll be more in the bonus section though.

The main thing I wanted to let you know about was a few spots where the game crashed a few times. I distinctly remember it crashed before the blood came out of the coffin in the church a few times and also after the chandelier falls because it says it can't load a bitmap or something. Might want to check that out. Also, there were a few spelling errors/typos. I remember someone says "confortable" at one point. Also, there were some instances where the dialogue ran off the screen. Finally, during the maze puzzle with Fleta, she'll pop up if you try to go to the pumpkin king even if she's run off, which is a bit confusing. I just feel like you guys would like to know about this things.

Nit picking aside, the visuals were beautiful. The character designs were a little bit samey, but I liked them and I thought the art was well done. The soundtrack was really great, I especially liked the music during the first chase with Lisetta and the theme of the show guy with the top hat. The dialogue was pretty funny in some places, which is good and I absolutely loved the little film things. The backgrounds/environments were pretty.

My main problem with the game was the ending. I got endings 1, 2 and 3, and none of them really satisfied me. It's fine to have an "up to interpretation" ending, (I'm not a fan of those in a lot of cases, so maybe I'm biased,) but you sort of have to pick one- either it's all symbolic and it's totally up to interpretation or you have a plot with an ending. I sort of feel like this game was trying to do both at once with the vague, short endings. Throughout the game, there were a variety of different plot threads being brought up- what were the photos of MC and her family about? What connection did Lisetta have to the letter that Fleta read? What happened between Annelise and MC's mother? Who was having an affair? What did MC do to Lisetta? What actually happened to MC? What was all the christian imagery about? Why was the pocket mirror so significant? I didn't really feel like those endings, at least, really answered any of those questions. Also, they were really short considering the game was about 5 hours long before them. That's just what I think, I still enjoyed the game, though, and I'm looking forward to seeing more stuff from you guys :D
Been playing this and doing a let's play over it. The game itself is probably one of the best rpgmaker games I've played since ib, witches house, etc. I'm currently stuck on the flute colored puzzle but I'm gonna keep trying =) Hope y'all continue to keep making games!

If you find the answer, please tell me, I tried everything.

You're suppose line up the flutes to match the soundtrack that's playing in that area.

No no, the riddle tells you the order of the colors.
Red, Purple/Black, yellow, blue
Oh, I guess there's 2 solutions then, I just didn't notice that answer lol. It does match the soundtracks looping notes perfectly though.

What riddle is that though?

OMG um jogo vindo de alguém de Portugal, meu sonho <3
Estou a baixar agora mesmo e estou muito no HYPE
Esperei tantos anos por isto ;w;

I'm downloading the game right now. SO MUCH HYPE
I waited so much for this game ;w;
I see that you use some german Words like "Messer und Gabel".
Is there a reason for that?

And I found this where Words ar cut out:

and this

There is a bug when you in the Garden and the Girls than at the end want to go to the Bench this came and closed my game.
Those bitmap errors happen everywhere in the game from time to time, if you try again it should work. X3

Also I feel like Madoka Magica was a huge inspiration for a lot of things in this game. Like how they use other languages through out the game, or how the movies and some areas are similar to how witches appear in Madoka Magica, and Egliette gives me a serious Charlotte vibe.
Aaaaaand Got End 1. Now how do I get the rest...

I only reached End 2 but if it helps

When Harpae asks you to go with her, answer yes(and follow her). Don't save, or you'll be stuck.
