Pocket Mirror Classic (2016) is an original mystery horror adventure game made using RPG MAKER VX ACE. During the development of this game we have gotten our inspiration from various japanese RPG MAKER games of the same genre such as Ib and The Witch's House which have motivated us to create our own.

※ The game isn't suited for people with a nervous disposition for things such as horror and graphical horror such as blood and brutal deaths.

※ Please note that it relies on an exceptional amout of symbolism which may be hard to understand throughout the first playthrough, so multiple playthroughs may be advised.

※ To get the best experience out of the game we recomment the player to use headphones and adjust the screen brightness accordingly.

Check out the remastered version, Pocket Mirror ~ GoldenerTraum, on Steam now!

It's a shame that the rating for this game is dragged down by the reviews from when it was still a demo. It (apparently) got a lot better when it was finished. While I don't usually like the idea of "rating for the current version", I'd support it for this game.
Speaking of those said reviews, I still plan on eventually going back sometime in the future and give Pocket Mirror another chance and see if the full version has improved a lot more significantly since the last time I played it and reviewed it when it was just a demo back then. I would imagine, judging by the more recent reviews for it lately, that it’s a much better game than it once was before.
Beta testers!? No, this game needs a goddamn exorcist!
It's come a long way but it is still hampered by a game-breaking bug for some, really annoying puzzle design, and the story is lodged very firmly up its own arse. But when it comes to raw presentation I still haven't found a completed game that tops it.
You'd think MZ would use a dictionary for switches/variables by now?
There's a notion for that the demo would already be what the actual game would look like, which is particularly true in this case because
what was in the demo was no other than the beginning of the game.
At the end of Harpae's ark (I already know I got the bad end) I was walking in the hallway where the moon shows after the theater with the strange boy and when I got to the end this error showed. Not sure what exactly I'm missing but I'm rather bummed. Is there a way to fix this, or has this bug not been caught, or has it and I just haven't gotten the updated version because I downloaded this when it was first released. (just got around to playing it again after Fleta's bad end upset me xD)

you've been playing the game too long nonstop. It's like a 'cache overload' error
Ah. I see. So the game just got tired, that's relieving! I was worried I'd have to redownload it and play it all over again haha! Thanks~ Next time I'll keep its feelings in mind o.- *inserts joke*
Second Lisette scene, after she stabs the pocket mirrors and screams and chases after you. Two hoards of reflections of her come at me and kill me. Can't do anything because the way they close in there's no way out. I've tried to find an escape several times, can I get help?
if I remember correctly, the horde on the left will disappear at some point, dont run away from them too fast. stay as far away from the right horde as possible once they show up. my memory might be getting hazy.
Anyone happen to have all the fan art from the original tumblr pages?
Played this with friends and we really love this game. The art is wonderful and (while we played on and off) the story was interesting!
I played Pocket Mirror one year ago, not a huge fan of the endings but overall I liked the game.

Pls help me with this error what is the solution for this
It was rude for me not to say anything about this game back when i first played it in 12-16 april previous year and got all of the endings. Honestly it is the second best game i have ever played and the best 2D/RPGMaker/Horror game despite me saying a few months before that nothing will be able to top Ib and Mad Father but this one did.
What should i say, i liked everything about Pocket Mirror and the only 2 things that affected my amazing immersion i had for all of the 4 playthroughs were: crashes like the one in the post above mine which are fixed by changing the filenames of the soundtracks in the game's directory (fixing the special character) for both of the crashes in that room in chapter 2 and at the beggining of chapter 4 and restarting the game every once in a while. And also the rather cryptic puzzles that are basically walktrough or trial and error only like the
Scissor Door in the end of Fleta's chapter for which i tried everything but the scissor probably because it was barely visible and that puzzle in Harpae's chapter where you have to move by the sound cues

Everything else was great: the soundtrack, the graphics, the animated scenes and even the story despite later learning that all of the chapters follow the same structure which is why the later chapters like Lisette were not as good. I really liked Fleta and especially Harpae (and her chapter) for which i cried (all of the 4 times) when she died, and that is knowing that i do not even remember the last time i cried for a video game character. It was truly something for me.
I could not fully understand its parallel story, which is fine as that's going to be something for this year when i will play it again.
In the end, i played a lot more of those RM horror games since then but none were as good, which is something i expected. Even knowing that my own game that is in development ever since i finished Pocket Mirror, might as well never even get close to how good PM is.
Huge thanks for the Pocket Mirror dev team, i hope they do well with their remake despite it probably won't be for me as touching as the original. Truly thank you!
I'm really anticipating for the full release of the remaster, GoldenerTraum. This is, in my opinion, my #1 RPG Maker game of all time and one of my top 10 best games of all time, this is amazing and holds a special place in my heart. This game is criminally underrated and a magical experience.
