Love the basic RPG mechanics but tired of saving the World? How about Conquering it? Well I'm happy to tell you that's pretty much what Flip Dimensions is about. However, In order to get your hands on the world you live in, you must travel across the multi verse fighting other Dark Lords and prove you are the strongest of the all!

Kazuki is a dark lord who wants to conquer the kingdom of Theiweth, but all his dreams are crushed when a farm boy from a forest village with no combat experience whatsoever destroys all of Kazuki’s evil dreams (Don’t you hate it when that happens?). With help from his right hand butler, Minori, Kazuki was able to escape his castle to live another day. Upon hearing about a legendary item that can grant wishes, Kazuki sets out to look for it still with the evil eyes bent on conquering the world... Only to later find out that the path to his wish may not be worth the effort and that the world he lives in may not be what it seems...

Features
-20+ hours of gameplay.
-Eight worlds, each with their own unique theme.
-Resource-manage physical attacks with a unique TP system.
-Extra endings available through New Game Plus.

Minor Update and Request

I have recently updated the download link with a new version of the game, nothing special, it's just that I saw my brother play through the game and noticed a handful of bugs and typos that needed to be fixed.

That was about two months ago. I don't remember what most of those specific changes are, unfortunately.

I also streamlined the download page. No more patches or a non-RTP version of the game. I feel like a 600 MB file is a much less tedious download in 2024 that it was in 2016.

But the reason I'm making this post was because I considering making a Definitive Edition version of the game, a port to MZ that could feel more complete as a product that properly concludes some plot threads that I was intentionally (and naively) saving for a sequel.

This version of the game would be it's own page. If it were to exist, I don't want it to replace this version of the game. So I figured I might as well make more drastic changes such as revamping elements of the combat and dungeons. I've been working with some friends on a design documents of sorts that details a lot of the changes I have in mind, but I would also request that anyone currently reading this who has played the game and has their experience fresh enough in mind to make any suggestions of what they would personally like to see, or things they don't want to change. The goal isn't to adhere to all this requests, but to consider them so I don't end up releasing a version of the game that feels alien to the original.

Thank you for your time,
Seacliff

I made it to the snow world. A minor nitpick about the plot:
To me, it seems strange that Queen Clara would be defeated so early and easily, since conquering Theiweth is Kazuki's main goal. While Kazuki is still in no position to take over the world due to his lack of an army, the queen's death is a huge blow to the human kingdom and undermines the need to use Star's wish. I feel it would be better if the kingdom and the queen were stronger than all the other dark lords to justify the effort to complete the quest. On the other hand, even if Kazuki could defeat the kingdom through normal means, he would still need the wish for things like minimizing bloodshed, brainwashing the population into accepting his rule, or bringing back his village.

Edit: Wait, nevermind.
The end of the snow world chapter has a massive twist that involves the above spoiler block.
Even if partially addressed, I do still agree with you.

Chapter 5-6 gap spoilers.
Partially because the idea of two Theiweths was added retroactively. When I made Chapter 2, I entirely intended it to be '2 Years Later' until I realized an untapped plot idea that fits how the story continues to unfold.

I ran the game's plot in my head so many times I could list dozens of narrative flaws. I don't get many comments or PMs about stuff that happens near the end of the game though, so I don't know what people found out themselves or not.

Might be fun to make a list sometime.

Also noticed you're the same guy who's doing the LP I stumbled on Youtube. Thanks for playing!
I'm in the 7th world now.

For some reason, Kamlyn only joins at level 28 despite Bolt joining at level 35.

The battle against Ilva and her clones has so little room for error on hard mode. Even with the Shields for Everybody dual skill, the clones still dealt a lot of damage with Shurikens. I had to reload a lot and pray to the RNG.

If you win that battle with Kazuki KOed, you get a game over after the next cutscene.

The description for Backup Energy got cut off. What does it say?

Backup Energy: "Prevents death for party for 3 turns even if you have 0 hp. Needs both Minori and Bolt to use."
I'll fix the wording in the next update.

What was your level around the time you started chapter 7? Was it lower or higher than Bolt's? I'll see what levels I originally intended it to be.

Also thanks for bringing up the Kazuki death issue. Sorry about that occurrence. I'll fix that in the next update.
I think Kazuki started the chapter at level 35. Med was the lowest level party member at level 31.

Edit: I finished the chapter.

Somehow, every boss after Ilva was much easier on hard mode. Even Konton seems to have less DPS than her, though he is tankier.
Is there a list of Rin coins anywhere? I made it near the end and I only found 19 out of 20.
How do I unlock Kazuki's house? Where do I use cellar key? Thanks :)

I suck at giving directions, but I'll try my best.

The gate to the cellar on the other side of a river, it's on a wooden platform with no walls around it. You can see the area directly south of Kazuki's house, you just need to walk around the long way to reach it.

If that wasn't helpful, I can see about taking an in-editor screenshot showing the path from Kazuki's house.
Nevermind, I just changed the colors to be all solid dark as possible for the text and menu background. Still would be nice if there was an option for a solid background :)
Hey! So I'm playing through Chapter 8, met the trash-diving ninja(?) who offers SOMETHING for 20 Rin coins, I try to pay and they says I don't have enough when I have 73. Is this intentional or a bug?
Hi, I'm sorry but the Tower of Infinity is driving me crazy!! How do I get to the other floors?? I activated the teleporter and picked up the flames again but where do I use these flames the second time?? If I follow the stairs it just leads me back to the door that's now closed since I picked up the flames from below. If I go back up, it just leads me back to the teleporter. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Also, the fire plates/bridges make no sense to me! Sometimes you fall off to the floor below but sometimes it lets you pass through and sometimes it just blocks you from walking over it alltogether!! Please help! I'm so stuck!

Apart from this, I'm also confused on how to get through the Sineba puzzle with the Sand boots. I gave up on that too. I tried all the buttons but none of them make the spikes stay up long enough for me to get past them in time. And again I was going around in circles..

I was able to find Bolt in Mylitta but I'm not sure if I have to find Sister as well. (Maybe there should be some kind of indication if I've completed everything in any world and don't need to do anything else there) (I guess I'm just annoyed I have to travel back to all the worlds again to look for everyone plus solve random puzzles on the way)

I too am stuck on 19/20 Rin Coins. I have no idea where I might have missed the last one! I also have no idea where the Nephilim place is! Artemis & Med say they will be there and I can meet them there but my memory is so bad I cannot remember where it was on the map..

Lastly, I'm not sure if this was reported but, when Kazuki uses any of the "Slash" attacks on enemies his own HP goes down as well. (I was wondering why Kazuki's HP was going down so quickly in some battles when he was not even getting attacked but I found out that his HP was going down when using the Slash attacks)
Ex: If he uses Wide Slash and there are 4 enemies then his HP goes down 4 times as well after he attacks. It does not affect his HP if the enemy avoids his slash attack or his attack misses, so basically whatever damage the enemy gets when they are hit with a slash attack happens to Kazuki's HP too. (I'm not sure if the same amount is reduced as the enemy but he definitely loses HP)

Hello! Thanks for playing.

-In Tower Infinity: Take the teleporter. Go down a floor. Purposefully run on the broken part of the balcony to fall. The stairs should take you to the torches where you drop the flames.

-In the first phase of the Sineba Dungeon, there's only one "Time Trail" that you can actually go through without the Sandy Shoes. It'll lead you to a side path that loops around, allowing you to pick up the Sandy Shoes and explore the rest of the dungeon.

-If Bolt is in your party and Avenir is in front of the Nephilim Chamber, you have done everything in Mylitta. Same logic is extended to the rest of the worlds, you've done everything in that world if their god is at the Nephilim Chamber.

-Only so much I can do to help find missing Rin coins. However, I do know the ones in Ayldan (Snow World) are trickier to find because of the snow. There's one in the Snow Village, another near the switch in the Snow Forest, and lastly a third in Ayl Mines. There are no Rin coins in Frosty Castle

-Nephilim Chamber is accessed through the Floating Crystal in Lily's room. It's the final dungeon of the game. In fact, all the world revisits barring Sineba are optional, but are recommended to do anyways to match the leveling curve.

-Check Kazuki's weapon. Weapons with the "-Sharp" suffix do recoil damage. This is admittedly poorly explained in the game. I think an NPC in a shop in Theiweth mentions it.

Ahh I was able to get to the red button in the Sineba sand puzzle but I didn't realize I could pick up the boots again and continue as normal! What a silly mistake on my part. Thanks.
I'll check out the Tower again and try to proceed further with this new info!

I was pretty sure I missed a Rin Coin in Ayldan. I was extra cautious when I went there the first time since I knew there it would be a sneaky place for hidden coins since it's so hard to see with all the snow.. I'll have to go back and check the other places there since I already got the coin in the town.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm really enjoying the game! I've been playing for weeks!! The dialogue in the earlier chapters are hilarious!
