Love the basic RPG mechanics but tired of saving the World? How about Conquering it? Well I'm happy to tell you that's pretty much what Flip Dimensions is about. However, In order to get your hands on the world you live in, you must travel across the multi verse fighting other Dark Lords and prove you are the strongest of the all!

Kazuki is a dark lord who wants to conquer the kingdom of Theiweth, but all his dreams are crushed when a farm boy from a forest village with no combat experience whatsoever destroys all of Kazuki’s evil dreams (Don’t you hate it when that happens?). With help from his right hand butler, Minori, Kazuki was able to escape his castle to live another day. Upon hearing about a legendary item that can grant wishes, Kazuki sets out to look for it still with the evil eyes bent on conquering the world... Only to later find out that the path to his wish may not be worth the effort and that the world he lives in may not be what it seems...

Features
-20+ hours of gameplay.
-Eight worlds, each with their own unique theme.
-Resource-manage physical attacks with a unique TP system.
-Extra endings available through New Game Plus.

Like this game? Check out the demo for the sequel, Flip Saga.

Flip Dimensions 1.2 - The Seacliff Cut

Another update after over two years.
Nothing too big, but here's the changelog.
-Fixed the difficulty slider.
-Tweaked a couple of skills.
-Changed two lines because 18 year old me tried to be too edgy and I wanted to take this chance to change that.

Every download has been updated, including the patches. So if you already downloaded the game and don't want to download another 400-500mb project file, you can extract the patches into the base folder and enjoy these changes.

I noticed that ever since Flip Saga's demo been released, this game has been getting downloads about twice as fast. So it was probably a good time to update this game.

I made it to the snow world. A minor nitpick about the plot:
To me, it seems strange that Queen Clara would be defeated so early and easily, since conquering Theiweth is Kazuki's main goal. While Kazuki is still in no position to take over the world due to his lack of an army, the queen's death is a huge blow to the human kingdom and undermines the need to use Star's wish. I feel it would be better if the kingdom and the queen were stronger than all the other dark lords to justify the effort to complete the quest. On the other hand, even if Kazuki could defeat the kingdom through normal means, he would still need the wish for things like minimizing bloodshed, brainwashing the population into accepting his rule, or bringing back his village.

Edit: Wait, nevermind.
The end of the snow world chapter has a massive twist that involves the above spoiler block.
Even if partially addressed, I do still agree with you.

Chapter 5-6 gap spoilers.
Partially because the idea of two Theiweths was added retroactively. When I made Chapter 2, I entirely intended it to be '2 Years Later' until I realized an untapped plot idea that fits how the story continues to unfold.

I ran the game's plot in my head so many times I could list dozens of narrative flaws. I don't get many comments or PMs about stuff that happens near the end of the game though, so I don't know what people found out themselves or not.

Might be fun to make a list sometime.

Also noticed you're the same guy who's doing the LP I stumbled on Youtube. Thanks for playing!
I'm in the 7th world now.

For some reason, Kamlyn only joins at level 28 despite Bolt joining at level 35.

The battle against Ilva and her clones has so little room for error on hard mode. Even with the Shields for Everybody dual skill, the clones still dealt a lot of damage with Shurikens. I had to reload a lot and pray to the RNG.

If you win that battle with Kazuki KOed, you get a game over after the next cutscene.

The description for Backup Energy got cut off. What does it say?

Backup Energy: "Prevents death for party for 3 turns even if you have 0 hp. Needs both Minori and Bolt to use."
I'll fix the wording in the next update.

What was your level around the time you started chapter 7? Was it lower or higher than Bolt's? I'll see what levels I originally intended it to be.

Also thanks for bringing up the Kazuki death issue. Sorry about that occurrence. I'll fix that in the next update.
I think Kazuki started the chapter at level 35. Med was the lowest level party member at level 31.

Edit: I finished the chapter.

Somehow, every boss after Ilva was much easier on hard mode. Even Konton seems to have less DPS than her, though he is tankier.
Is there a list of Rin coins anywhere? I made it near the end and I only found 19 out of 20.
How do I unlock Kazuki's house? Where do I use cellar key? Thanks :)

I suck at giving directions, but I'll try my best.

The gate to the cellar on the other side of a river, it's on a wooden platform with no walls around it. You can see the area directly south of Kazuki's house, you just need to walk around the long way to reach it.

If that wasn't helpful, I can see about taking an in-editor screenshot showing the path from Kazuki's house.
Nevermind, I just changed the colors to be all solid dark as possible for the text and menu background. Still would be nice if there was an option for a solid background :)
Hey! So I'm playing through Chapter 8, met the trash-diving ninja(?) who offers SOMETHING for 20 Rin coins, I try to pay and they says I don't have enough when I have 73. Is this intentional or a bug?
