Generic RM2k3 RTP Gaming Fun!

I always wanted to make that game based on everything I enjoyed as a kid. This is the end result.

Hero's Realm creates a super-synergy of proactive features to create a gaming experience greater than the sum of its parts.

Lead four heroes and their teams against the evil forces of Mephistocles, the Lord of Demons in this retro-RPG adventure. Toggle between the four heroes as you explore dungeons, ascend towers, spelunk caves, save villages and defeat the forces of evil! Reminiscent of classic RPGs such as Dragon Quest III and Final Fantasy V, Hero's Realm is a fun romp in old-school RPG nostalgia.

-22 character classes (12 base classes, 4 hero classes, 3 secret classes, 3 master classes)
-TONS of game content and sidequests
-Classic NES-era and SNES-era RPG gameplay
-Great music
-Multi-party switching system (like Kefka's Tower in FFVI!)
-Multi-party tactical battles (at least 5 of them!)
-Massive world map
-Fun

The story is split into 5 chapters, with each of the first four chapters focusing on a new hero, and the 5th chapter bringing them all together.

Chapter 1: Won't Somebody Please Think of the Children?
Chapter 2: There is Something Fishy Going on...
Chapter 3: Land of the Rising Son
Chapter 4: True Calling
Chapter 5: The War on Terror

Are you in chapter 5? And do you have the magic key? You need both of those. You know the shrine on the northern shores of Norsland? The one that takes you to tower island? Well, there is a hallway in it to the right that takes you to the tiny island, too.
I'm in Chapter Five, going for the first artifact in the Desolate Valley. I have acquired the Seal of Legends which I thought was going to let me change parties. It is greyed out in my inventory, and I cannot figure out how to use it as I would desperately like to change hero and parties. Help.

You use the Seal of Legends by pressing the numbers 1 through 4 on your keyboard to switch between parties whose chapter corresponded to that number, such as Holdana's party being 1.

Thanks! I actually thought of that but it just seemed to easy. Sometimes I am a doofus.
Having trouble with the Master Key quest. Have been sent to Stromholm castle to rescue a prisoner there so I can obtain the Master Key at Remus. The prison guard says I can talk to the prisoner through the bars, but because I have the Jailer's Key all I can do is try to unlock the door and let the prisoner out. Everytime I do that, the prison guard stops me saying I can't let the prisoner out. Stuck. Help.
Do I have to save my tiny medals or it doesn't matter if I spend them in x Chapter, they'll be available for the other parties?

Did you find the secret entrance to the jail? First, in Remus, talk to a shady chap at night in the bar to initiate a plan to break into jail. Next, head to Stromholm (at night iirc) and go through the secret cellar under the house in the south (where in chapter 1 you cleared out some rats) to get to the south side of the wall. Next, talk to the shady dude's sister (?) and she will reveal a secret entrance to the jail. Make it through the catacombs, and when you emerge from them into the jail, a short sequence will play out and you will be able to rescue the Cobra King.

Spend them! They will all be accrued once you get to chapter 5.
Great! Thanks for getting back to my question so quick; love the game. Is there a sequel in the works =]?
Nope. Sorry.

(I did start one up as an April's Fools gag once)

Yep. Figured it out. Thanks. Just discovered the walkthrough and FAQ, so that will probably help me out a lot.:-)

It would be cool if you made some bonus DLC for Hero's Realm.
I can't find the medal that's on the purple patch of swamp. May I have some tips or help finding it.
I think Gavaroc did a video of it recently. iirc, it is in the middle of the swampy part of the first island (keeping in mind that the first landmass of Froggerton is a penisula :)
Is there (and if there isn't there should be) a bestiary?
I've been saving my tickets, do any of the funhouses have any worthwhile prizes?
The first 4 in the early chapters - not so much. You get a Jester's Cap (decent all around stat boost) and a seed of some kind, as well as access to a special shop with rarer items for sale that are usually more powerful (or accessed earlier) than you would in your regular play through of the chapter.

In chapter 5, however, there is a MEGA Funhouse which includes another set of the best armor in the game and several unique items! There is also a Monopoly-style board game.

Whoa totally missed this post.

There is NOT a bestiary, neither in-game nor on this website. There should be but I never made one. Welp.
I'll make this simple

PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE!
-double post-

Told you so.
