Second Edition Build 20191227 released!

This update adds two new guild missions (technically three since it should provide enough hunter coins in order to exchange for the Advanced Hunter License, thus allowing you to access the Tomb of Kings). This will also be the last update for 2019. Unless there’s a critical bug to fix.

Changelog:

-Added 2 new guild missions: 1 Hunter Mission in Mendor and 1 Bounty Mission in Celtia.
-Added the Adventurer’s Guild in Mendor.
-Re-worked the logic that is used for the license upgrades.
-Integrated automatic crash reports.
-Fixes some graphical errors.
-Fixed a bug where enemies in some dungeons show a weird behavior in some cases.
-Fixed a bug where the player would spawn out of the drinking bar (in Celtia’s Pub) when returning to get the boat.
-Fixed a bug where the placeholder boss would spawn in the Rogue Lair at the wrong time.
-Fixed a bug where the slimes wouldn’t count when the player took on the “Slime Hunt” guild mission.

Merry Christmas/happy holidays, people. And have a happy new year.

The setup file tried and failed to install the .NET Framework, which caused several other programs to stop working. It also keeps trying to restart itself. I've removed it from my computer and will now try if I can manually install the Framework and get things working again.

Did this happen to anybody else?

Also, since when does a VX ACE game need the .NET Framework anyway?

Sorry to hear that you had issues. I was not expecting this. There is a possibility that the OS that you are using may be blocked by the installer (check System Requirements). If it is supported, go ahead and install .NET Framework 4.6 manually.

Microsoft .NET Framework is used by the launcher, which adds additional capabilities (quick load, save manager and more). It is not required for the game.
I installed it manually, apparently the Framework had been installed incomplete, which is why the programs that were running with an older version of it stopped working (I tried to start some that I knew were using it to see if anything had broken). Manually installing it gave me the option to repair it, so now everything is back in working order.

It might be a better idea to link the download for the Framework instead of including it with the game, in case anybody else has those problems.

It was included for convinience.

Edited the description to include the download link and changed the system requirements to reflect both the game and the Framework's requirements.
Hey there! I've been following this project for a little while and I just wanted to say that I've been very impressed by your consistent dedication to your game. Keep up the good work, bro!
About how long does it take to complete the game?

Wow... I just noticed your comment (and your review, I'll comment on it on a later day). There is an option to use OpenGL so the game runs faster, but I can't guarantee that it will help.
I downloaded your demo and it looks and plays fine, I enjoy the characters and the combat, but it gets tedious really fast... still, keep it up!
