Second Edition reaches stable!

After a few years of tuning and getting the placeholder assets replaced (for the most part), I’m happy to announce that Immortal Sins Second Edition. Although the changes between D0.31 and the last build are minor, this reaches an important milestone: The game has fully transitioned to RPG Maker MV and it has reached feature complete status. This means that I have reached the Beta milestone. All that’s left is to finish the story. You’ll be pretty much seeing balancing changes and bug fixes for the most part.

Now, if you are on the D0.20 builds, you will see a lot of improvements and changes, including an overhauled engine and gameplay, extra scenes and guild missions, etc. Sadly, compatibility with the old saves is broken, but I believe it’s a small price to pay for a vastly improved game.

That is all for now. See you in the next post.

Changelog for D0.31:

- Fixed a game-breaking bug that would lock up the player in the Mendor prison if they saved, exited the game and then load the save.

- Balancing changes.

- Reduced game size.

- Minor bug fixes.

The setup file tried and failed to install the .NET Framework, which caused several other programs to stop working. It also keeps trying to restart itself. I've removed it from my computer and will now try if I can manually install the Framework and get things working again.

Did this happen to anybody else?

Also, since when does a VX ACE game need the .NET Framework anyway?

Sorry to hear that you had issues. I was not expecting this. There is a possibility that the OS that you are using may be blocked by the installer (check System Requirements). If it is supported, go ahead and install .NET Framework 4.6 manually.

Microsoft .NET Framework is used by the launcher, which adds additional capabilities (quick load, save manager and more). It is not required for the game.
I installed it manually, apparently the Framework had been installed incomplete, which is why the programs that were running with an older version of it stopped working (I tried to start some that I knew were using it to see if anything had broken). Manually installing it gave me the option to repair it, so now everything is back in working order.

It might be a better idea to link the download for the Framework instead of including it with the game, in case anybody else has those problems.

It was included for convinience.

Edited the description to include the download link and changed the system requirements to reflect both the game and the Framework's requirements.
Hey there! I've been following this project for a little while and I just wanted to say that I've been very impressed by your consistent dedication to your game. Keep up the good work, bro!
About how long does it take to complete the game?

Wow... I just noticed your comment (and your review, I'll comment on it on a later day). There is an option to use OpenGL so the game runs faster, but I can't guarantee that it will help.
I downloaded your demo and it looks and plays fine, I enjoy the characters and the combat, but it gets tedious really fast... still, keep it up!
