Been a bit quiet, hasn't it?

Yes, she really does join the struggle. So expect Laine and her trio to show up. ^^
So, wait, does this mean you actually get to play as Laine and co. in Tristian or does she, along the rest of her ragtag crew there just to join the resistance? I thought that Laine was originally just going to be a coliseum battle?
Also, how the hell did Laine get that huge scar across her face?
(Maybe it had something to do with Siglud.)

Do I get an animated .gif like this, Sailerius, if I ever decide publicly to make the switch? Or am I just going to get a “about time, ya itchdit!”

Yeah, pretty much what everybody else already said; it shouldn’t / doesn’t matter about your past games and what you used for them before in regards to ripped resources. What matters now is what you decide to do for your own commercial games. Besides, having a bunch a freeware games available alongside your commercial stuff will give curious onlookers who are interested in purchasing one of your games a chance to test out some of your precious works from the past, before they decide to make a purchase or support you.
Sucks about you not continuing to work on Variant, but, in the infamous words of Todd Bertuzzi, “It is what it is.”
I’m glad that you’re getting back into the game making scene again; we all really missed you ‘round here - especially me. :)
I’m also curious, did your Alter A.I.L.A comic ever take off that you decided to do before your left??? Me wants to know.

Yeah, usually I would say something encouraging in order to get you from stop re-writing the entire plot and dialogue sequences because they’re just fine and just focus on getting this done, but I, too, have done this on many different occasions with some of the stories that I’ve written thus far. It just seems that you’re never completely satisfied with something until you’re completely satisfied. Besides, the more re-writes you do, the more the plot stays true to form and actually is coherent throughout. So in the long run, it’s a good thing. So I don’t mind you taking some more time to really make this game the best that you can get it to be.
And the new Ianna looks just AMAZING! This is the best of the new portraits that you’ve done by far! Far better than her original look by a country mile. No wonder you’re so proud of yourself. I would be too if I could draw just as good as this. :)
Actually, the new portraits in action look pretty good. I was wrong about the whole thing; they actually really look good. Even the new Dante looks much better than his original counterpart.
- Keep it up!

Damn it, Skie – you too, now? Geez…whatever happened to giving in to peer pressure? (And Nessiah and J-Man you’re not helping!)
Looks like I’m the only old has-been here now that still continues to use 2k3… Oh well. More room on the boat for me.

P2R Blog #11 - Might as well release...
(Traitor!!!)
I’ll admit, once you’ve gotten your succulent taste for VX Ace it’s unbelievably hard to go back straight, especially if you’ve been using it for a while now like you have. The only reason why I’m still sticking around with Rm2k3 is because, A, I suck at scripting and trying to learn it is taking me a little bit of time; B, most of the games that I’ve already started or planned for are specifically designed with Rm2k3 in mind and are centered around various plugins and patches provided; and C, because I’m just a lot more comfortable still using it. Yeah, yeah, one of these days I’ll switch for good, like the rest of you guys, make a similar blog post like yours and say that VX Ace is just so bloody glorious that why didn’t I switch to it permanently beeeeefoooore!?
But I can forgive your sudden lack of faith with the announcement of a brand new Phantasia 6 for VX Ace. Yes!
I enjoyed the last two Phantasia games that you made, so I’m excepting big things from you with this next instalment. Don’t let us down!
(Oh, and don’t worry about not finishing this up, J-Man. Besides, you can always make a Phantasia 1 - 5 Collector’s Edition for VX Ace after you’re finished with Phantasia 6, lol.)

Bit of writer's block
Bit of writer's block
Yeah, this does sound a lot like that one scene from FF6.
Anyways, for the part where Tristian is trying to get the airship captain to show her the airship, you should have the player just pick from a bunch of suggestive pick-up lines that she could say to try and bait him into letting her see it, ranging from all sorts of many different uncomfortable lines for her to say. He’s thinking that he’s gonna get lucky tonight after showing her that airship, and basically Tristian just needs to play along with it in the meantime, despite how grotesque this man is. No matter what options the player picks here, the scene should just go as it is.
Darcy, in the meantime, should just have a little mini-event / short dungeon in the rafters with her trying to follow Tristian and the captain while trying to not get caught for suspicious activity. I guess you could fight some enemies along the way if they manage to catch you, like that one part in the original demo that I played, or just fight some critters in the rafters.
For the part about distracting the guards and everybody else that’s there, you should just have Lance play the role as a traveling solo musician (or Dante, Trabant AND Lance, and whoever else that’s with you could work together in a group) that’s playing at the ballroom trying to get everybody to stay in their seat without causing a major commotion of what’s going on with Tristian and Darcy. Once you acquire the airship, Tristian and Darcy will have to fight the airship captain who managed to sneak aboard. After defeating him, Darcy ties him up, forcing him to drive the airship for the group (because who else would be able to drive it?) in exchange for not tossing him overboard.
I’m pretty sure you’ll think of something as, I mean - how could you not think of something to do for this part!? Tristian in a dress, Darcy coming up with a hollowed plan that might potentially fail and get everybody there killed, a drunken airship captain who hits on everything and anything – what’s not to work with here!?
Anyways, this is probably the direction that I would go in, but it's up to you.
