GIRLS GENERATION

Lunatics with guns, domestic terrorists and homophobia...

To say that you're a responsible weapons owner means nothing when there are so many... that are not.................... but in a sense it kind of is someone's business why someone would need a weapon like that...

though there is no sense in arguing with those that were practically born with a weapon in their arms and assert that they should be free to do as they please and purchase whatever kind of weapon they'd like

I mention assault rifle because to my understanding that is the means of killing that the assailant used at the Pulse nightclub to kill 50+ people. it's not an emotional kneejerk... it's literally a weapon that gives an individual way too much easy potential to kill many people. there's little that you can say to justify anyone owning something like that... If even that kind of weapon weren't available to the public this shooting is very likely to have been much less severe... to ban high powered weapons like that would be an alternative to banning every firearm.

and also, omar's homosexual tendencies really do not change much... just that we know its internalized homophobia ingrained by outside sources...

but i will abstain from posting in this topic further

Lunatics with guns, domestic terrorists and homophobia...

I feel it is important to note that at the time the right to everybody having access to and the freedom to carry guns was conceived, assault rifles and the like did not exist. Why on earth does any citizen need an AR-15? What utility does this serve you? It surely cannot be for hunting... the meat would be rendered inedible. I am not aware of a situation in which possession of a gun by citizens has really stopped a major shooting, and such normalized possession of firearms would seem only to serve as catalysts for the violent tendencies of people in the populace.

I personally feel we need to disarm the nation of weapons that are unreasonable for possession, such as those firearms that have no real use besides killing humans.

This discussion is also kinda trapped on the gun control debate but it seems that without the whole violent homophobia thing this individual has, there would have been no shooting in the first place. "Gun-rights" proponents had best work on targeting the issues that lead to another wanting to commit murder on this scale... like fervent dislike of a race, sexuality, religion, or whatever else people hate others for still. The religion connection is true across the abrahamic religions, if these religions maintain that things like homosexuality are disgusting and to be shunned, they're going to create individuals with a tendency towards violence at homosexuals who will snap and do things like what happened at the Pulse bar. Even in non-radical practices of these religions, homosexuality is slandered and abhorred. If religious people want violence not associated with their religion, they're going to have to stop doing things like hating on LGBT people. Sadly, this seems an unlikely change.

The Bonus Dungeon is the Final Dungeon?

Bonus dungeons are a weird thing to have qualms with, considering they are truly entirely optional. It would seem reasonable to only make the bonus dungeon accessible after you defeat the final boss (of the game's mandatory content), that way adjusting the stats of this boss is not really a concern since you've defeated the game.

Bonus dungeons also aren't inherently incompatible with a game's narrative. They don't detract from the experience. If I want to do all the work to getting my characters able to kill these bosses, that is entirely optional and can even lie outside of the narrative and still be justified. It gives another use for all that high level equipment and skills.

Mixing the final dungeon and the bonus content would work in some cases, but it is really dependent on what game is in question.

Just Do It! - Anti-Procrastination Initiative

My Goal: To finish the next branch of Diabolica by next Friday. A branch is a series of 5 floors in a dungeon, complete with puzzles, scenes, monsters, treasure, and the like.

Just Do It! - Anti-Procrastination Initiative

I am participating.

Mostly because I really need to finish this game I have been re-starting over the last three years and procrastination only makes me more inclined to do so in the future.

I Miss the Sunrise Review

I was disappointed to see That One Bad Review for this game, but after reading this I kind of understand why this rating is deserved. When I reviewed it, I was impressed at the game. and also too young to be reviewing games I tend to hold games on this website to the most mediocre of RPG Maker standards, so anything that stands out happens to garner positive attention from me.

This is still one of my favorite RM games, but after reading this I really understand why the story was lackluster. The characters 'philosophies' are really out of place in the setting, their interactions w/ each other were strange in nature, and the story wasn't executed optimally. (In all honesty my understanding of it wasn't that deep during my playthrough but reading some writing picking it apart was insightful)
