AESTHETICGAMER'S PROFILE

I'm Dusk Golem, aka AestheticGamer. You can also just call me Ryan. I work on small RPG Maker horror games for contests and pleasure, that usually tell cryptic surreal stories and were made relatively quickly. Most of my games either feature mostly original or completely original graphics, art, and music. However, I also work on much bigger and developed games as well. My first big developed RPG Maker game I'm working on slowly over time is Complete Isolation. In the meantime, I work and release smaller things here and there, they're good practice and learning experiences.

THE HAVEN DECAY - RMN HORROR CHAIN GAME - [CLOSED]
I'll definitely be joining up for this. Gimme' a mid-to later segment after February if available, I'll be busy in February with my own project crunch while my artist has free time, but I should have free time in March-May. I also think my segment I am concocting in my head could work later in, I sorta' want to see what other people have come up with and going to try my hand at a really surreal and mood-focused "wrong feeling" area to try and fit in with the narrative, and focus on using some mostly original music for my segment I can whip up.
Really curious how each person's stuff comes together, should be fun to see.

author=ExtremeDevelopmentauthor=AestheticGamerI thought this version was gonna be paid? Haha, incase you did not know gamejolt does not accept commercial games or demo versions of commercial games either.
About to release the final expansion version of Close Your Eyes, here, on Steam, GameJolt, some other places.
I've been trying not to post too much, but I love how the design of one the characters, Simon, came out.
Oh, the things I want to do to you, Little Marshmallow...
Would you moan?
Would you squeal?
Would you whimper?
I'd like it if you screamed.
I imagine you'd give the most wondrous scream.
Would you scream for me? Would you scream real good?
Simon is yours, and you are mine, Little Marshmallow.
Anyway tat is some pretty fuken good art, real creepy. How long is this version going to be? 3-4 hours?
Nah, gonna remain free, though there will be one piece of paid DLC, a Goodie bag for some extra goodies, mainly for people who want to support, but that'll only be on Steam and the game itself will remain free.
I'd say 2-4 hours, I can beat it faster but I know what to do. However, this version of the game has seven endings, so should be fun to see how that all plays out with people.

That's basically what's happened. XD Though each version of the game is free, so I guess it's not a big deal, I'm calling this version to myself, "Close Your Eyes: Redux Final Expansion". The first game was made in two days in 2014, but it was flawed, I removed a lot of stuff but also added a lot of stuff, the Redux version was about 2/3rds new stuff and took about an additional 5 days of work, still a quick project. But then that version of the game was received far better than I could of anticipated, several YouTubers played it and the game ended up on a few indie game blog sites, and someone asked for my permission to write about the game in a book they're writing about horror game design in their independent category, and wrote a pretty well-pieced article on a website about the game (where they chronicle horror experiences). But been received far better than I expected for a quick project, so I tried Greenlight, it got through Steam Greenlight far faster than I expected (11 days), so I'm working on my final version again, spending a few more days with it, and again the new version of the game is all the old stuff and about 2/3rds new stuff.
BUT THE NEW STUFF IS COMING ALONG WELL. Much better than I anticipated, to be honest.
Miniature version of the last piece done, full version is 1920x1080. But last I'll post until the game is all done and up here, on Steam, GameJolt, etc.

Getting art assets ready to release a much updated version of an older game of mine, Close Your Eyes, onto Steam. My artist Rincs has been doing new art for it for the release, here's a sketch she did earlier today in four hours (she did two different sketches today, this was just the most recent one and one I selected to use for a small teaser).

[Poll] Dealing With The Lure Of The New
I'm one of the main squeezers. I have an overall big project I focus on, but I take breaks and do shorter projects to vent out other ideas, short things I want to do that are less polished but fun to make.
Hey Everyone!
I've decided finally to become part of the community after using the site for the last two years, both to find RPG Maker games to play and submit my own little games every once in a while.
I'm Dusk Golem, aka AestheticGamer, though Ryan is fine too. I'm the type of person to make dumb jokes and puns in conversation, and listen to and see if I can help even just a little bit to people'a troubles. I love horror, and am a huge ethusiast, collector, and player of the genre, I literally consume several horror games a month (including RPG Maker horror games, of course).
I've already made a few short horror games on the site, just small little flawed things mainly for contests I made in a couple days. I just released a touched up version of my Hallow's Eve 2013 game, Girl's Graveyard, and working on my longest short project, Nostalgica: An Old World Passes, right now, and on and off my long-time project, Complete Isolation. I do most of the graphics and soud for my game, though I get helped by a few friends sometimes.
I've very much have enjoyed the site, and am happy to finally join the community. You will likey see me posting around every once in a while. When I join communities, I join for keeps. It's very nice to meet all of you, and hope to get to know some of you guys more.
P.S. I'm known among friends to be a rambler who overly states what could of been a simple point, so be prepared for much of that from me.
