ASHLEY_LACURE'S PROFILE

Not much to know, was an older designer known as Alucardxdemon, but I left the RM community a few year ago. I'm back now to simply complete one of my favorite projects and share it with this community.

The Screenshot Topic Returns

@Nightowl: I agree with Chana, looks great but the roof doesnt look nice. Try something more solid, maybe a repeated brick pattern.

Anyways been working on my game a bit. Spriting to fit the RTP style sucks and takes forever. Heres the final result.

Before:

After: Alot of items to interact with, the alarm clock allows you to set and alarm to wake up earlier, the chest has a mini game to dig for treasure, and the dresser still allows you to change your clothes.

All thats missing are the lighting effects and shadows I need some help with em.

Im tempted to force you into spriting a stone pillar to put that statue on top of >:)

I commented earlier but I guess the internet didnt like my post. Anyways map looks nice as a whole. I would get rid of the little water fall, or shrink the size of the bubbles because as you said it is a little water fall. Lastly I was a little confused about the statue why is it untop of a well? Maybe im looking at it wrong?

This map needs some work, I recommend looking at Heroes Realm as a reference.

Action Scenes in rm2k3

Aside from the visuals its 1:02, I have my own game to build and I still found it entertaining. Personally I would add poses and use pictures but it was enjoyable.

Best Game Openings: RPG Version

Im a big persona fan, like the opening but I have to say FFX's honestly puts all others to shame, I just dont feel like posting the ridiculous long FMV.

Houses with not much in vs locked houses.

I have never understood the point of unlocked houses in RPGs. The only time I find them acceptable is when their is a treasure box, items to obtain, events, or cases where you use a lockpit to enter a house. Some people say that locked houses make a game seem linear, I think it saves time for developers whats the point of making a house if their is nothing inside of it besides NPCs that say the same thing every time you talk to them. I support Skyrim's system of locked doors at night and open doors during the day. In games like Skyrim opened houses have items that can be stolen which I find very unique and realistic. But to answer your question and summarize my rant I dont support open houses unless there is a purpose.
