Anyone who really thinks this comic should have a consistent plot is "MISSING TEH POINT!!1!1!" i hope the next one is even more crazier. My fav character from the comic was the purple cloud, I love how mr subtle drew it exactly like the original ms paint one.

If you didn't get it the weird mutant thing on YDS's page is supposed to be the mutating thing on the last panel of the page before... but I know what you mean if you think it's a little too inconsistent.
Is a FF Legend 3 battle system possible with RM2k3?
The way stepping works in 2k3, heroes either step up right to the enemy or more a couple steps to the left. I think. So I don't know if it would work properly. But you could use battle animations to animate them and it would work dandy.
Although 2k's battle system kind of looks like this, except you can't see your characters, but you can use battle animations and stuff to make them appear.

RMN Snews - Issue #20
A hiatus ending~!
Heya. This was a recent RMN event led by me that recently ended. It's an interesting read: http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/5818/
Other than that, there's a few community games you ougha check out. First there's the Christmas Card game, led by YDS, which has a multitude of injokes but could be entertaining to those who don't understand.
Then, there's the Befuddle Quest series, a bunch of community puzzle games, led by kentona.

The 5th one is starting soon... it's going to be time-travel themed, I think.
You can check out the event calendar for other community events.
Another community event was Super RMN Bros., a community made Mario game. Or just watch Brickroad's ongoing LP of said game.
There were some contests that went around recently:
Game Chill (Winter 2009)
Game Gale (Spring 2010)
Some other games that are somewhat recent to play are Ascendence, and Desert Nightmare. (Which was translated from German.)
