How did your first game turn out?
Too true, mawk! I wouldn't have had much of a basis to make games off of if I didn't record every awesome thought I had onto paper or something.
Embarrassing as some of my older writing is, some of the characters and ideas made it to my games today.
I was a huge Diablo nerd, so I often tended to make lists upon lists of items and even item sets. Character Classes, all kinds of stuff.

Example above, also to add that I was a huge World of Warcraft, DooM, Neopets, Quake and Final Fantasy Nerd. What a combo!
BlueIvy which that set is named after was named after my mage in WoW, she'd later become the demigodess Blu in recent stuff.
Oh god a lot of this makes me sort of die inside, but in retrospect it was good I got all this fanboying out of my system before I went onto making games of any public degree.
Somethings have been changed name wise, SafierCat is now Safael, Blueivy as already mentioned, is now Blu, simply.
Autumn is a character scheduled to debut in Justicaar, whenever I make that fucking thing.
Malibu is a villain who loves using poisons.
Terror Lord Fang the Chimp is blatantly inspired by Fang from Dave the Barbarian, one of my childhood favourites along with Ed, Edd n' Eddy, Invader ZIM, Powerpuff Girls, Fairly Odd Parents and The Grim adventures of Billy & Mandy.
Most of that is from at least 6 years ago. The top left portion with the weapons is 12 years old, and is from my very first "printed" game, Future Fantasy. I was just a boy. A boy barely old enough to be considered for any sort of employment. I asked my Dad how realistic would the goal of gam mak be, he said 5 years in university.
Being a childish idiot, I believed him, it wasn't until my Uncle Dain said that you can basically do anything so long as you put your mind to it that I found hope. My Mother was also supportive of the notion.
It was at about 16 that I began seriously considering it as a thing I could do. The future just happened to cater for me. I didn't release a game to the public until I was 21, Planet's Cry, yeah, linked it's title screen on Page 2 i think it was. It would be another two years until I released Intelligence, following the year and a half spent developing Terra for virtually nothing worthwhile.
My first game idea was a 3D platformer where you plays a weird ball of yarn disguised as a cat and boss stages were usually yarn enemies, a giant pair scissors, an everburning match and a cat were some of the big bads.
My second concepted project, which both me and my bro brainstormed for, would become Hellcat. I wanted to make it an FPS, but ultimately, I'd started leaning away from that, so it was my second game released to the public that is counted as Biztopian Canon, in fact it's available for download on this very site.
Anyway yeah, 12 years in dev, finally getting somewhere. Gotta go, school is happen.

Your Avatar
Avatars across all ages! (Alliteration abound!)
You'd have to be really old of an adherent to remember this one...

My first ever stand in as the 'Bizarre Monkey', boasting my old god awful art. For years this weird monkey thing with no tail was icon at the forefront of Bizarre Monkey productions, and it is under this that Intelligence made it's debut on Pi Day 2011. The day I became a somebody. But it would be many interpretations later that I would fade from the existence of a nobody.
In 2012 I finally was persuaded to work on my art.

This again, will be legacy to most of you at best, I often labelled it jokingly Total Bizzkit, and here I am to answer one simple question, what the floundering farkle is a fucking sense of identity?
Realizing that i could never be british, I decided to embrace Australian Stereotypes instead.

If you've seen the video for my Instant Transition script I made for VX, then you've been witness to the Vestige of Bitter.
Anyway, that quickly got old, I had a Star Wars phase in their somewhere, thus Biz-zee-won was born.

But then one a lot may be familar with is Yarr harr Monkey.

But while all of these avatars had different outfits, none of them ever really changed form, over these periods, i didn't much either. It wasn't until I began realizing that caring about other people was kind of a huge waste of energy and made me stress, and after watching a live Q&A where SkittlesAreTasty was present, with an avatar that would inspire the new Bizarre Monkey.

This avatar seemed to bring me a lot of success, so I dunno, maybe I should switch back to it, but I think that's a placebo at best. Anyway, this was at the stage I'd returned to omega-dev, and from a lot of really cool people, gave birth to the CCC, from 3/14 2013 and beyond, Bizarre Monkey productions was no more, and the Crazy Chimp Collective moved forward.
This was also the first avatar to use my outlineless MSpaint style. Many more followed, best examples being...

Finally, I got into a ruckus courtesy of a certain someone and suddenly I'm in some sort of conspiracy, so I decided to just flatter not only myself, but my whole firm and dress us all in edgy Organization XIII worthy robes, and that's where my most recognized Member XII alias comes from.

Since 2013 I've had several fan renditions of my avatars, particularly lazy monkey and Member XII. Like my friend Andinator made this beauty which I was using here a little. My current one was fan work of Captain Crikey.
My friend Pjcr did loads, just some quick examples.
This one which portrays me and several of the collective is actually laminated and is a drink coaster.
Xiie also did some awesome ones, along with a whole comic which I've taken avatars from.
Ah glorious nostalgia. Anyway, now I probably won't be able to post here for ages because I've thoroughly annihilated my avatar search history.

Games you hate or dislike?
Oh, I just remembered a game I thoroughly despise, not for it's gameplay or visuals, just in what it represents and the fratboy demographic it's groomed.
Call of Duty, I can't say much since I haven't played them myself, I've avoided it and Battlefield like any democrat probably would, but I've heard some are okay, some are great, and some are wretched, that whole genre in general, no, not first person shooters, Halo at least has some Depth, and DooM95 etc. are first person shooters. Unreal Tournament, Painkiller, are first person shooters.
I'm just gonna gimp Yahtzee's word "Spunkgargleweewee" for the genre of 'war hero shooters', which are progessively linear brown and grey filtered games catering to realistic military action but only after forgetting sucking your thumb in a corner for 50 seconds doesn't cure bullet wounds.
It's a genre that I absolutely loathe purely because it's the opposite of realistic and aggrandizing war is a cardinal god damn sin. The later games are particularly bad in that the enemies are some small foreign group of terrorists and you're equipped with all the super weapons the U.S. has at it's disposal. Some people say the multiplayer makes up for it, unfortunately I don't give a flying fuck about the multiplayer and neither do a lot of people, and if your idea of a game set on getting it's demographic to join the army is made up by playing with people who think alike, then I'm sure the loud belligerence of all the obnoxious tits on those games must be a real zone of catharsis for you.
I'm convinced Call of Duty is designed for two groups of people, Sociopaths who want to get deceptively inaccurate gauge of how long they'd survive in their planned office shooting, or masochists who get a kick out of having people yell at them.
But yeah, I do not approve of the genre, and I know my words here will do virtually nothing about the popularity, the developers of said games will stake it for themselves, they've already shown large bouts of desperation, Call of Duty: DOG as one example.
I'm not saying you're a bad person if you play the games, or that you have shit taste, I'm just saying I don't like their messages and wish they weren't as popular as they are.
Sand was a good move towards showing people in the demographic they were being twats, unfortunately no one seems to have been bold enough to make that kind of move again.
Ultimately, what I think will be a good move is to release a game that plays like the games of old, but with a deceptive coat of paint for the first few stages that mimmicks the brown and grey environments and atmosphere of the COD games, then just shit out all this amazing sauce in the players face. Thus not only giving them what they want, but making them desire more. Positive Education, you follow?
That's all I'll probably say on this topic. But one last thing, don't try to state I'm blinded by Nostalgia, I've played Doom 95 recently, as well as heretic, and I had far more fun with them and their intensity than i ever did playing Halo, and it's superior to COD because at least it has some worldbuilding going for it.

Which Video Game-Based Movies/Shows/Animes did you Enjoy the Most?
Advent Children is the only cinema adaptation of a game I've watched.
I typically avoid them, but I'm looking forward to the Ratchet and Clank Movie coming in 2016 or 2015, I forget which.
God I hope it airs in Australian Cinemas, if it's anything like advent children, it won't, but I'm hoping since it's published by Universal Studios, that there's a better chance of that happening.
Because man, what a thing to see on the big screen!

Heroes of the Storm
I'm sure I'd enjoy this if I could get into it, purely because I'm not the sort of person who can devote the time to something like LoL and DotA, but it's not on my to do purely because I have tafe, and also, toxic community central. MOBA + Blizzard's entitled whining userbase?
NO THANKS! Maybe when I feel like killing myself!

What are you thinking about right now?
author=nhubiAha! So you are Australian!
Oh and Liberty, thanks for the cute overload, it's just what I needed after listening to our boorish PM defend his archaic viewpoints.
I knew it. When you were describing that ... I forgot what it was, but some landmark we have in such detail, I asked you then, but then I forgot what thread it was and never got to see if you responded or not.
My avarice for the inscrutable, it is limitless.
Right, I'm thinking I might art again on tablet, it's been far too long. Last thing i did was The Serazai V2, unless you count Taffiene Rush which, I don't.
I'm not sure what yet, but probably a humanized something. Maybe Tac as a human, that could be interesting. I hosted an art contest recently over on Dinoctopus.com, seeing the contestants submissions inspired me to draw again.
But now my tablet has decided it wants to be an unfathomable piece of shit, so I'm gonna have to restart my PC and stuff.
What are you actually thinking about right now?
author=LibertyEven I don't call you Miss Liberty or Lady Liberty despite how funny it would be.
@Linkis: Please don't go calling me Ms. My moniker is Liberty, there's no gender attached to it and you don't go calling kentona or anyone else with Mr or Miss. It comes off as a bit condescending and I'd prefer you didn't do so. Thanks.
I do sometimes make a remark of calling some Mr or Miss if I know I won't be treading where I shouldn't. But yeah, it is pretty patronizing at times, I don't care if you call me Mr Monkey because that's radical as fuck, actually who am I kidding you could call me Buttsmack Morpheinhack and I would be down with that.
But yeah, I'm kinda weird and have an unusually high tolerance for labels, actually most of the time I find the creativity is more pleasing than the idea of someone trying in some futile jet of testosterone rage to insult me. Et al my current username.
But like, if it's just your thing to call people by Miss or Lady or Master etc, like an ol' fashioned butler, go for it Alfred. I mean i find it charming when people are that courteous, but like, if you're gonna do it you gotta do it for everybody, otherwise it seems like your giving special attention to one person, and that can be taken as either patronizing or the inverse.
I usually use Madam in public, or Sir for the male pronoun, because to strangers, it's a polite way to address fellas. If you say 'Scuse me Madam' it's generally a lot more acceptibly than saying 'Scuse me Miss' or 'Mrs', then it can really backfire if you use the wrong one or better yet, they're divorced.
Well there's my two cents on that, anyway!
Ellenor's pixel template.
Odin Sphere Leifdrasir (Remake + HD Remaster)
If this comes to Steam or the PS3 store, I'm sold. I've seen my bro play Odin Sphere, and I fucking loved it, the detail and oh god everything you can eat looks so delicious.
Anyone have any favorite films, they would like to discuss?
I liked Howl's Flying Castle. Studio Gibli is pretty darn good.
It was my first real anime movie, but the dub didn't suck because they got british VA's, this worked really well.
Like don't get me wrong, there are some phenomonal American VA's, too. Just they seem to have a much larger wellspring of, well... absolutely intolerable VA's.
Like watch the dub for One Piece or Naruto and you already know what I'm talking about.
