DQ9 and FF13 on sale for $17 on day after American Thanksgiving

I should really give FFXIII a chance. I think if I had a night to invest into it and get past the intro I could start enjoying it.

Dragon Quest IX is what dreams are made up. Up to the part I'm stuck on despite everyone on the Internet calling the game easy until the post-game quests. I once thought I was hardcore. Alas.

I hate closed-minded gamers and game reviewers... (Metroid: Other M)

This is what happens when there's a negative reaction to a game. Hardly inconsequential.

There's been a lot of silly stuff said in this thread and a lot of people haven't said "WHAT THE FUCK" about it. A truly civilized place. Hats off.

I'd call this thread stoopid, but I think I did the same thing when Chrono Cross came out.

IT'S ART, FUCK OFF. I LIKE IT.

However, I did the opposite when Final Fantasy VIII came out.

WE SHOULDN'T PUT UP WITH THIS SHIT. REVOLUTION.

What Suzu does when she's not here (which is all the time XD)

I'm not going to lie, when I clicked the link of your blog, I was thinking "this'll be really bad"..

and then...

I was wrong! Not only was it about RPGs, but the Dragon Quest series! It was fun reading about how someone is experiencing them for the first time. I played most of them before I could properly read (I had to look up the word "mutt" for DWII), so my experience was different.

So I was a snob in a bad mood, and you have a nice blog. Well done.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

I played the demo of Corpse Party on the PSP last week. Apparently it was made with rpg maker 98 originally? It was pretty fun, although a little wonky.

The fourth Professor Layton is always taking more time. Trying to get back into Dragon Quest IX, but need to pass more levels.

Kind of broke now, but will be picking up Tactics Ogre PSP or Ni no Kuni next.

Psycho Waluigi

...and kudos to them for doing it!

Are you happy with how your life has turned out?

This is it. This is the happiest guy. But then he'll realize Poli Sci is like one of those useless majors. Good luck with that, buddy.

Like most social sciences, they don't give you automatic jobs and the jobs available related to the degrees are only for the best in the field. The program and university are quite elite, and reputation counts for quite a bit here. The clear paths it leads to (based on previous graduates) are diplomacy (working at an embassy), government bureaucracy (for Japanese graduates) and journalism. I've also been researching a few UN organizations, NGOs and Asian think tanks. Friends who got similar degrees said their jobs came from connections with professors and their dean after being top of their class.

I appreciate the concern, but it's nothing I haven't thought about a million times, and I think it's usually only a problem for people who have a sense of entitlement ("Well, got my Masters! Time to sit back and watch the job offers to be a political scientist pour in! I deserve it!"). Hell, when I got my Bachelor's, half of the people I knew were like that, and it was in Sociology.

Innocent Sin is getting remade!

I never got into this series. With 1, 2, and 3 being available on PSP (well, 2 soon), I should start.
