Love Songs Suck
Dating is fun. People are on their best behavior (sorry, wearing a giant mask and being a big phony!) because both people are interested in the other person. It's a very fun, exciting feeling for all parties involved.
Having friends is also fun. The great thing about life is, you can have friends and also date. Dating friends is weird though, because all those butterflies and excitement is gone. It's the girl you've farted in front of and knows what kind of porn you jerk off to.

I like love songs because I'm interested in this whole love thing. I can relate to it quite well. I think a few people were in history that can as well.
I also like songs about other things I can relate to, and sometimes things I can't relate to but can go "I don't relate to this, but I'm feeling a little funky listening to it".

There was an interesting article in the Japan Times the other day proposing a new theory to the Japanese surrender.
It said the Soviet's crushing victory in Japan controlled Manchuria was much more of a threat than the two atomic bombs (mainly for loss of resources coming from there an Korea), and the Japanese knew if they waited to surrender any longer, it would be to the Soviet's and not to the Russians, so they did it earlier to the Americans.
Anyways, an apology would be nice, but an apology from the Emperor of Japan (as the head of state) would be nicer. Kan recently apologized to Korea on the forced annexation anniversary, and for the first time no cabinet members went to Yasukuni Shrine, so we're going in the right direction.
