If things keep going my way, I might get something done by July, too!

Hyper Hero's Realm!

post your picture

This thread is wildly rad. It breaks fourth wall internet creates. I thought Pizza is cartoon until today. I discovered these places before, but walked away after several pages of missing files.
Definitely, this is my new fav lurking thread.
And here is my pic. I'm usually taking pictures of the others so my library of pictures of myself is rather poor. This one is from the last summer (Finnish Lapland, about 1 AM).

Maps Weekly!

No wonder Square Soft rejected my application! Also the saddest thing is that I've already seen this theme somewhere.

Don't worry about playability. It's all about fun.

And I have one request on you, people. Can you advise me on some synonyms for theme? Nothing from my vocabulary fits. Topic, matter, subject... It all has slightly different meaning.

[RMVX ACE] Need help making a forest map

You don't need yer map any big to have it filled with secret areas. There has to be a trick to get them, not just a vastness excluding them from main area. With points of interest, you can inspire yourself with The Elder Scrolls game fer example. There is always an fortress, a farm or a dungeon, if you walk long enuf.
Personally, I wouldn't make map any bigger. I would make more of them instead. Classic style you can know from Bioware games. There are ruins within one, next looks plain and hides a secret cave and so on.

Horrible Fanfic Crossover Idea Generator

Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining Rugrats and Snoop Dogg. The story should use cooking crystal meth as a plot device!

Ok, here comes the king:

"Yo Dogg, I was reincarnated. Being gosh now."
"Whatcha name now, dogg?"
"Ain't no dog any longer, dogg. I was reborn, I'm Snoop Rat, bro."
"Ice cool."
"Gotto go now, nigga. Have an evening meth cookin with da pound."
"Yeah man, yo rug is in the lobby."

Edit: Cool device, I'll use it as plot creator for my games.

I always miss out on the wild drama

It seems we are on the same boat, charlbar. I'm missing it in real life as well.

Let's Talk about Map Design

I'm partly with LockeZ on this one. It's my personal preference as I hate walking around big spaces. It doesn't apply all the time. I loved my time with In Search of Games, which use pretty big and vast maps sometimes. Or games of exploration.
It's more about fascination. Back at the high school we wanted to found an independent state. It was supposed to the smallest country of the world with area of one hectare. Houses in the capital should had have about two on three meters and five floors.
In The Sims 2 we were trying to create the smallest possible house all the time as well. It usually ended with an outdoor toilet.

What are you thinking about right now?

I was away like for 24 hours and everything changed here. I have like ten thousands notifications from the 'dream came true' thread and there all the site is overfloating with activity. With two exceptions: Screenshot survival and Advent Children. And this new affair, I have no idea.

If by ocean you mean the sound of waves, it might not be that bad. If by ocean you mean the words "Food, food, cheesecake, do my game for me, bikini pics, food, nessy is mean ;.;, food, no chillies!, lolis~<3, food" then you might need to check yourself in to a facility.

I'm thinking kentona deserves all the hugs. All of them.

I definitely have Ocean's kind of ocean in my head of lately. Maybe with extra portion of bikini pics.

Maps Weekly!

The new theme will be out tomorrow! Can't wait!

And Here I'm with this blast. I haven't finished (started working on, actually) Zag Von Sewag yet and so I don't have any screennies.
There were some maps posted during the absence of my activity and I want to comment on em a little. As usually I was smashed by Esby's map. It's nice and clear, lighting effect are reasonable as well.
Kentona and LockeZ both created pretty sweet tilesets, which make great sewers.
Extreme, your map is pretty good. However there are some strange points (which can be caused by tileset's limits). Perspective of some details clashes. The one particular thing I have on my mind is the green alien pillar and the empty barrel. Their points of view are too different.
I'm glad to have ya all here and a newbie, Forge. You are right here, cuz your maps need to get pimped. Your sewer doesn't look like a sewer. To be honest It doesn't look like anything. It lacks personality. Also try to work with composition of yer screenshots, so they give us some information about environment. Here we see some fellas standing around water. It's flat and empty. I'm too cruel again, am I not?

So what i got prepared fer ya fer the upcoming week. There was a request for Science lab. It has booked its place but It ain't its time yet. Extreme requested for an exterior theme in past days. Guess what, it is its round. Applause for
Forest
Another essential. But don't be afraid, I have some pretty saucy themes on my mind. Be prepared!

What are you thinking about right now?

I was djing yesterday and I had spent three previous days preparing my mix while watching teenage flicks and attending classes I hadn't needed to. I'm pretty confused about time right now. It feels like days have minutes instead of hours and I have so much to do. I hope I'll be able to make my map for BQ as I have to have finish an enormous amount of tasks till Thursday.
