Underrated Animals

More popular animals like cats, dogs and lobsters are getting attention these days. There are so many films and games about them. Other animals are not so lucky. If you were making a game with feral or tamed protagonist, which creature would you choose?

My first pick would be a tea drinking llama. It's a cool, classy and independent animal from an exotic piece of world. Llama has the right 'tude.

Llama's sidekick could be some non-mammal. But it's tricky. Piranha couldn't travel with it's companion properly. Fly is too small. Frog would be difficult to animate.
I would settle for a bird. Cock-of-the-rock aka tunki is a logical goofy partner for any Llama. Always reading fashion magazines and trying to steal attention with its perfect hair.

Befuddle Quest Mafia (Sign-Ups open)

..:: MAFIA FUN ::..
..:: BEFUDDLE QUEST ::..

Welcome to Mafia fun #DUNNO: Befuddle Quest Mafia, a collaborative community game of schemes and investigating. Using a specific setup, ThingyAngel Nightless, participants will each get a role and I will take care of fair play. Why ThingyAngel Nightless? Because it only needs 9 players and it's fun twist on a traditional vanilla setup. That, And I'm running the show and that's what I use (because I'm old).

The gimmick of this game is that mafia (Barons) doesn't have a traditional night kill. Instead it has a day vigilante, who can kill one villager every day.
As a counter force, town disposes with Zack, who can confirm himself as town (host will post a confirmation) in exchange for an extra vote.
Days don't have a strict lenght. Instead they end once a player has a majority of votes. The player is killed and the game continues after their role is revelead (this can take some time, if I'm not around). Day actions can't take place less than one hour after the reveal.

Rules::..
In its simplest form, Mafia consists of two sides: the Mafia, and the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill the innocents, while the Town's goal is to kill the Mafia.
At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role. The Mafia will know each other, while (in the basic game) everyone else will only know their own role.
The game has two phases, the first of which is Day. During Day, the Town must choose someone to Lynch; they are trying to eliminate the Mafia, but the Mafia can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. Generally, players will vote for someone they think is Mafia (the Mafia will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Town); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is revealed by the Moderator, and it becomes Night.
During the Night, the thread is locked and no one can talk publicly. The Mafia, however, can speak to each other privately to plot strategy and decide who to murder before the next Day begins. In this way, they can silence members of the Town who are threats to them. At the end of the Night, the murder is carried out and another Day begins. In effect, the Town gets to kill someone, and then the Mafia gets to kill someone.
The game alternates between Day and Night until either the Mafia are eliminated, or the Mafia have killed everyone else (or nothing can prevent the same).

>Townfolk needs to hang both Barons to win.
>No game related chat outside of the thread, unless you're mafia and have a special chat.

>nightless, all actions happen at day

Roles::..

1 mafia backup (Baron von Noddly)

1 town mayor (Zack)
6 vanilla towns

Story::..
Our poor friend Zack has been captured by the evil Baron von Niddly and his brother, the evil Baron von Noddly and locked away in their menacing tower for daring to fall in love with the Barons' beautiful daughter Broomhilda. Poor Zack!

A subscription worry

I don't know how I did it, but I managed to subscribe to Fear and Hunger four times. This means that every comment shows to me as four. I tried to delete it, but it breaks down and refuses to remove extra subscriptions from my account.

What can i do about it?

jRPG Essentials

What do you think are games, which should everyone who works with RM and has an intention to make a RPG know and play? Cuz I personally played very few famous jRPGs.
My personal favorites are Ys series and probably Zelda (although I never played it properly). So, I'm more inclined to action oriented stuff and find it easier to get into. Also it's usually light on dialogues, which is good. On the other hand they're not traditional jRPGs and I hear people talking about Chrono Trigger and Xenogears all the time.

So would you go with Final Fantasy IV and Dragon Quest or do you have more series to include?

Cotton Mafia (Congratulations!)

The World fell in chaos, someone is burning any Willow they see. The group of candy-loving witches set up on a adventure to destroy these candy-burners.
However three of them like fire more than the rest.

Standard Rules
author=LockeZ
BASIC RULES IN EFFECT:

1. Do not share any PMs from the moderator. Your private messages must be kept secret. You may describe what was in them, but directly quoting any portion of them will result in mod-kill.

2. The game is divided into day phases of 48 hours and night phases of 24 hours. There will be no talking on the main thread during night phase. Members sharing private chats may talk at any time.

3. No talking to other players about the game outside of Mafia, and NO PMING! You can PM me, but that's it. Obviously, the no PM rule is on the honor system but if I find out, there will be consequences.

4. Each day, players discuss who is most likely to be mafia and vote for one person to be voted off of the game. Voting follows standard rules. Votes are to be presented in the thread, using the following format: #Lynch lockez. If you for any reason you change your mind, use the following tag: #Cancel A lynch is successful when more than half of the players vote for the same person, or when the 48 hour day period ends. If there is a tie when the day ends, multiple people will be lynched.

5. Each night, scum will tell me who they want to kill, and other players will use their powers and items. Scum will have their own private chatroom to discuss who to kill.

6. You must post daily. If you're not talking, you're not playing the game. If you're not playing the game, then why are you here?

7. No editing posts. Only the moderator may edit his posts, and he can also edit you right into the grave if you break this rule too many times. However, double-posting is allowed in this topic.

And some ear balm:

Let's Build A World

I wonder,
I wonder about fantasy world. How they are shaped, how some tend to make them full of unpronouncable places, how they are big or small.
Some creators have a new one for every game or two. Some are able to stick with one and develope its history and geography. You can even return to same characters.
My approach is to make worlds small. Nations have thousands of citizens, some are even smaller. We all see that a village has five houses in-game. There can't be more than 20, 30 people in it.
Usually, i inspire my settings with some 10th century. There is no progress, zealots are everywhere and old gods are slowly pushed back. I like adding flavors from other continents then Europe and other times. I like pre-feudal Japan for example, nations of the Middle Asia or Pre-Columbian America. These are usually fantasy settings and to be honest, they are the first and the most obvious choice of mine.
What is your approach?

Your favorite cellphone games

Try not to answer Snake.

Since I got smartphone, I plaid many games on it and liked some more than others. I want to share my reasons here with you. I would like to know your favorites in exchange.

1) Urara works has three of my favorites in its catalogue. Zeldalike Fairune, which is simple and addictive. Puzzling Pixel Rooms, which makes you to think out of box and uses phone's sensors and all. And Drancia. For some time I loved this concept of game where you run left and right without the real progress. I started with another game Slayin and found Drancia later. I like how it uses RPG elements, develops a flavor around it. For one of my future project, I plan to use these side-view arenas for battles.

2) Lionheart Tactics is a cool game with lot of depth. I sunk quite a few hours in it last summer. There is lot of various heroes, developers actively support community. The Campaign's story is lackluster with strange cliches being used. It's pure gameplay and chibis what I like about this one.

3)Brave John has cute graphics, cliche fantasy story and superb controls. I really liked my time with this one so far. It's addictive, fun and boss battles are a small challenge. Have I mentioned controls already?

4) Heavenstrike Rivals is a game from Square. It's really good. I uninstalled it only because it was eating to much from my phone's memory. Battles suits platform well and get to be really challenging after few days. I loved floating islands and the setting in general. Story unfolds slowly and it seems to be filled with cliches, yet I enjoyed every cutscene.

Honorable mentions: Alone, Space Marshall, Crowntakers, Kingdom Rush, Smash Hit, Dice Heroes
