Jam-Like Rogue

Everyone knows Rogue and Rogue's clones Rogue-likes or Roguelikes. This game developing event is supposed to implement mechanisms typical for Rogue in process of gam mak. That means: Permanent death, Randomly generated environment and one given goal. The goal is obviously to develop something playable. Your result doesn't have to be roguelike. It can be anything from board game to space sim or fan fiction.
How is this supposed to work? For a period of week there will be every day revealed one theme. These will be words chosen from the list with use of the random number generator. The List will consist of words taken from names of popular roguelike titles.
Development itself is divorced in seven parts. You have one hour to complete each of them. On the first day, you got one hour to finish your writing. One hour to finish graphics on the second day and so on. Randomly chosen words are adjusted to these phases of development. For example, Your theme for mapping can be 'risk'.
Every participant has three hours of spare time. These can be used any way you like. They don't have to be spent at all.
If anyone runs out of time without presentable outcome, S/he is dead.

Rewards
I'll make a poll with finished games and let the community to choose the winner of Capage's Rogue Bundle.
The Bundle will contain my selection of Rogue inspired games. They will be probably gifted via Humble Bundle. If different reward was wanted, The winner would pm me his request.
In addition to people's choice, I will choose my personal favorite and reward him a reward (game or piece of art).

Start
I plan to turn on the random number generator for the first time on 1st April.

More
So what do you think about my idea? Would you consider participating? Do you have any suggestions how to enhance mechanisms? How to make them more roguelike? Are rewards rewarding enough for a jam? Is the text understandable (English enuf)?
I urge you to react.

[Poll] Game Maker or Construct 2 or...

In summer we plan to make a game, me and my friend. It's supposed to be story-driven metroidvania with inventory. We aim for hand-drawn custom graphics too. Jumping and shooting is supposed to be good and fluent. There probably will be special abilities or modes (Bullet-time et cetera).
What do you think is the best engine to develop such a game in?

[Poll] Heroes of Might and Magic 3 - HD Edition: Yay or Nay

Let me introduce myself,
I was born with the copy of Homam in my crib. I've never been offended by the low resolution of the classic complete edition by the masters of 3DO.
Now, The evil Overlord of Ubisoft made my worst nightmare come true. An HD edition. I hate HD editions. Instead of making something new, they just exploit good old stuff. Where is the promised land of the seventh entry? I haven't heard of it since the initial announcement.
And its just core. Ol' good Restoration of Erathia. They say, they lost expansions. Bollocks!
So the question is partly general and partly about this very product. Do you think this HD edition is even worth your attention? Do you plan on buying it for sake of pitty Steamworks?
