A Traitor's Hold
author=Linkis
@Cernus, I downloaded the game but when I click on the exe. I get a
message, "RPG2003 is not found".
Any idea why??
I ask because I have been playing another 2003 game and do not get that error.
I'm not sure. All I can think is that this game was made with the legit version of RPGMaker2003 and if the other games you've played have been made with the translated copy then maybe something might be different?

I'm able to play, but after the first battle, a slime shows up and the game crashes with this error:
I got this error as well while I was testing and I have no idea why it is happening. I thought I had fixed it by putting a small pause before the battle starts but obviously it's still occurring. I've uploaded a new version of the game with the option to skip that battle as it's only a joke encounter anyway.
A Golden Week of RPG Maker 2003
I finally completed A Traitor's Hold and a download is now available.
Best of luck to everyone who is currently in the midst of their final push.

I started super-simple, and due to a foot injury, had to take sick leave from my job, which gave me extra development time, which means I actually added a few ideas rather than having to scrap anything. ^^;;
How serendipitous :P. That's probably the way to go rather than going for a too grand idea, panicking when all the time goes and end up submitting a game that consists entirely of a 20x15 room with Alex shaking his fist at a slime because it looked at him funny.

A Golden Week of RPG Maker 2003
I've just changed the title of my project to "A Traitor's Hold". I've had to be quite brutal with the content I've had to leave out. I've got the intro, finale and battle system all sorted. It's just that big, middle bit of the game that I need to do :P.
How is everyone else getting along? Has anyone else found that they've had to leave ideas on the cutting room floor?
You've actually released something Zeigfried_McBacon, which is more than me. I hope you are able to finish.

author=Shoobinatorauthor=CernusNah, the alternative is to just detect the terrain type using the Terrain ID event and run a parallel process event to constantly detect what terrain you're currently standing on.author=ShoobinatorAs far as I know there isn't an option for that. You may just have to put events over each of the tiles that you want to deal lethal damage.
Hey is it possible to make terrain deal lethal damage (without a more complex event, which I might have to do anyways)? As in, is there a built-in option for that buried somewhere?
:D
Is anyone else starting to get that gnawing panicky feeling that they won't get finished in time for the deadline?
You're right. I was looking for that in the variable command. I forgot that there was a command just for that :P

...maybe :P.
Thanks unity - I've corrected the text. I wonder how many mistakes all our projects will have given the time constraint? That's going to be my excuse anyway.

Looks pretty good unity :). Nice use of the parallax background on the ship screenshot.
