How many RM games use a wii mote? How many RM games can be played through a browser? None.

The makers of Braid would be caught DEAD for ripping graphics

If anybody contends these points they do't know shit. .

i... i.......

Even forever has an end...

don't you dare think about not releasing the next chapter...!

Delete the forums, keep the rest of RMN. Problem solved. I do a lot of consorting with people I met here, and it's very beneficial. Keep private messaging, dissolve forums.

There have been some clusterfucks over reviews, but overall, I enjoy the gamepages IMMENSELY. I like browsing them, I check out games all the time, and I even send people links to games. And the gamepages make that very easy.

Everything but the forums is great. Getting rid of RMN will be a serious, serious blow to the RPGMaker community. The vast majority of the comments I read on all the projects I've subscribed too are positive, and while reading the forums wouldn't indicate it, there are lots of people who do PLAY the games that we create here. I know I won't be migrating to another community after this one, which is pretty terrible, for me. I doubt I'll ever find a place to release my game that has a setup that has everything I'm looking for.

I'll be very sad to see this place go, and more than a little upset that it's going because of the forums, when there they are an insignificant part of what makes this site worth visiting. I understand that there is more to it than just this, but you're shitting on a lot of people who use and love the site because it's not some towering, glorious monument, lord of the indie game world. The site represents a large chunk of the RPGMaker fanbase (and an even larger chunk of the Rm2k3 fanbase) and it's a great blow to everyone who doesn't want their games to be lost to the obscurity of the internet at large.

Independent gaming isn't about "what's hot", it's about providing a place for hobbyists to feel comfortable amongst, more or less, peers. This site, even without the forums, (especially without the forums?) does just that.

It may not seem like I fully grasp where you're coming from, WIP, but I have a better idea than you think and I still completely disagree. I'm not sure how you can disregard so much positive, but I hope you can overcome your temporary insanity. Can the forums, keep the rest of the site!

Kaempfer, my old buddy... I totally agree. The game pages were genius and a beautiful thing to behold. They are the site's resounding triumph. Just cruising for games and stumbling on interesting things like Oathguard or Raciela was a blast.

does it shock you that there are rm games out there that match commercial ones?

Yeah, when you really think about it, it's kind of mind blowing that Naufragar or something is a far more entertaining and enjoyable experience than Final Fantasy 13 or Star Ocean 4 or take your pick. Hundreds of people working with a massive budget for over half a decade were not able to produce something that delivers as much joy as like, Romancing Walker. What the frick!

UPDATE 2: Let Us Cling Together

let us cling together!

Why I made games. ~ a happy note

YDS is a game making superstar. May we all aspire to uphold the virtues of pure, imaginative expression.
