Women? Black Men? Black Women <3?I love the art. It's got style! ^.^

I don't know if I'm interpreting the striked-out part correctly, but you play as one kid, and these Player Classes are just different versions/caricatures of him. There are women/black men/black women in the game, haha.

But thanks! It took me forever to draw these guys.

interesting selection of gats

Thanks! I wanted to move from the stereotypical "hurr durr AK-47, chainsaw, shotgun" thing.

I love the chipset! I'mma steal it when the game dload comes!

Go for it! The original author asked to not be credited (cause he "found it") and I don't care much fore credit unless I put A LOT of time into it. :D

I love how the house entrance is tucked away by the trees, very nice.
Although it looks kinda funky how the tree line has that sharp cut off into the grass. :\

Ah, yeah that's just a Chipset I grabbed from charas-project. I've been touching up most of the Chipsets, though (including a winter version of the Orchandville Chipset I was using) I'll get to fixing this one!

Everlasting Journey Review

Awesome review! No complaints here.

Phillip & Floo is definitely the hardest team to use in that last area. With Floo, it helps to have his best equipment (the lightning gloves you get at the end of his sidequest with Bark in Firam). Paul's soldiers are weakest to lightning attacks I think, so that would have done wonders. It also helps to have his third Wind spell. With Phillip, you can pick up the lightning crystal/energem at the end of his sidequest in the Borland Tunnels. Another big resource that might have been overlooked are scrolls. Since they attack all enemies, you could have spammed lightning scrolls.

Oh... that was the other issue - I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think Phillip or Floo had a scanning ability. Maybe they did and I just didn't see it, but I don't recall ever knowing the guards' weaknesses.

With regards to the story (spoilers obv):
I wanted to take the irony route and pair up Athesis & Miles because it's gonna create that conflict between both of them and Sparrow. By that point, it's obvious that Athesis feels differently about Sparrow than he does of her. She doesn't want to settle down and almost treats the people in her life as a convenience. Sparrow was used, and that's a major part of his character's progression, and will be central for a lot of things in Part 2!

You mentioned not liking some of the music. Out of curiosity, which areas? Music is always tough to get right, so I'd like to see if I agree with any of them.

I see... well that kinda eases my mind a little bit with the story. As for the music, I can't quite remember all of the other songs I had opinions on, my save was at the end of chapter one. Oh yeah, I just noticed a bug with the stats at the end - it only records battles that you've lost, and been able to continue on afterwards. I apparently lost 1 battle (with the zombies in the Mines of Insanity during Sparrow's memory), but I was able to keep playing afterwards.

Gameplay is another tough area. I like random battles though, so they'll be staying, haha. I've tried to keep the encounter rates low in larger areas. There's actually a path along the center of the Blue Marshes that takes you right down to Duke, where you might get 1 or 2 battles each trip. I admit, it was a little cruel to make the player go through it every time, but eh. I needed some way to break up the story when you got to Hiram.

Ah, I found that area during my 3rd or 4th run through the area!

I'll see what I can do about finding that music, but Resource Hacker and loading my last save doesn't seem to be helping.

Everlasting Journey

Man, this game is fun! And funny! I really enjoy it!

EDIT: I visited Sriole, and literally laughed my ass off when you find Don Miguel with his bad English in that weapon shop! And Flaid, too! Very nice! I'm excited to see the end, I've been playing the game all day - at least around 10-12 hours, and I'm about to do whatever I need to do in Sriole, then I'll have finished all the airship missions, and I'll be off to Isis! Fantastic game, man! Lots of memorable characters, none of the items and spells are useless, either - they all are very important, and just everything's awesome :D

Things are getting better!

Perhaps you could have waited until you had pictures to include before you wrote this blog.

I uploaded screenshots with the updates... I'll see if I can update them...

Aide from Rico's face, this is a nice screen.

I had lots of problems with the colors early on, but I've got them fixed now, so the faces will look a lot better!

No, these are raiders!

The zombies look waaaaaaay different. I'll upload a screenshot of a zombie in action!

That will make a big difference. MS paint gets annoying to use, paint.net isn't a bad program, it's my go to for more advanced stuff.

Update this screen when you can, I'd like to see the improvements in color! :D

Does paint.net actually help with that 8-bit color loss? Jeez, I've been using that the whole time just to touch up pictures... before I save them in Paint... -___-
