You can make anything pop up, and replace whatever default menus with the popping up of things.

Awesome! I mean it's still possible now with show picture events and stuff in Rm2k and 2k3, but it's cool to see an official and non-hacky way of doing it.

Does this mean that you could make custom windows pop up?

Pretty cool but pretty easy as a thiefd. I never found that body on which rhe sword is found.
Alright, I'll see what I can do about the thief! The body with the sword is in region not in the demo. I'll be releasing new versions every once in a while. In retrospect the thief is pretty easy - maybe i can tweak with the attributes and condition effects. Thanks for the feedback!

EDIT: I have lowered the stack limit for any item to 15 (instead of 99) and I slightly nerfed the power of the Thief's toxin dart; and I'm thinking about either increasing enemy resistance to weapons or just generally giving them more health.

Can't Copy+Paste a Project Foler

So, I've hit that "dang, I should convert this from Rm2k to Rm2k3" point in game development, but there has been a few times where the conversion process will mess up the game, so I've gotten in the habit of making a copy of my project folder and converting that game to Rm2k3.

Normally, this works fine, but for some reason it just won't work on one of my games. It's been on different computers and external hard drives, since I've worked on it at different places, but for some reason when I copy and paste the folder of the most recent version, the new project folder opens up in the editor (Rm2k and Rm2k3) as a really old version. There are maps missing, maps with older names, older chipsets appear, I'm even thinking the database might be an older version. I don't get why this is happening, and I don't want to risk messing up my original game folder by converting it. I have copied and pasted it half a dozen times to different folders, places like My Documents, and it will still appear to have recent files inside, but will open in the editor at the development stage it was at months ago.

Any idea what the heck is going on?

[DynRPG] Battle: ATB Overhaul!

Is there a way (and I'm already doubtful there is) that this patch could address the Rm2k3 "Escape" bug? In Rm2k3 the "Escape" option is always grayed out unless the player's party has the initiative, and I was wondering if it was possible to make that a true/false option in the ini file.

Ah, yes. The World Map.

I really wasn't sure how I wanted to do that (honestly it's better than it could be, at one point there was just a giant, floating head, and the free-roam was replaced with set locations to switch between, like Super Mario or something). I've wanted to replace that sprite for forever, but with the whole black-outlined look of everything else, it's hard to figure out how to make it look less ugly.

Dissidia Square-Enix - The RPG

Your charset/faceset template... it's... beautiful...

Can I use this as a starting point for characters, in a future project?

Almost looks like the bg is from minecraft heh or maybe a Doom level.

The art style of this game is kinda hit and miss, but at least it's unique. Kudos on that.

Ya got me!
I made the maps in Doom, screenshotted them, and plopped them in Rm2k3 (I did the same on my other project "Orchandville").

I can see where you're coming from regarding the art style. I'm no amazing artist, but I wanted the game to look colorful and unique, so at least I succeeded in that sense!

I completely adore the new atmosphere
and the battle screen is just fantastic
I just hope the music isn't too loud and exaggerated ;_;

Thank you thank you thank you! Porting this project to RPG Maker 2003 was actually a lot more fun than it should've been. Making the music, sprites, and backdrops (which I mapped in Doom Builder, and screenshotted in-game), it was all awesome!

As for the music, what would you consider to be exaggerated? I'll post some of the tunes for feedback in a little bit!
