What are you thinking about right now?
Everyone I know survived Thanksgiving 2017 from what I can tell. Nobody ate until their stomach ruptured this year.

The base problem here is that comments are pretty indicative of the community's investment in any particular project. Adding a rating system is just adding a secondary comments box. If it didn't happen before, it won't happen now. This creates a workload for the site's code monkeys that ultimately goes nowhere.

Final Fantasy IX had the best Cid because he wasn't human for most of the game. Diversity in your cast is always a good idea.
He also took a wallop that sent him flying across the room and he still forgave them and showed them all the hospitality in the world. High moral values right there.

Also, your entire argument completely ignores the fact that at no point in the game does Squall ever shoot anyone or anything. It ignores the fact that if you pull the trigger button on the gunblade during combat, it does exactly jack shit if you're not slashing or stabbing someone with it. It ignores the fact that there is no option to shoot anyone. It ignores the fact that even says in the damned tutorial that pressing the R1 while attacking causes the blade to vibrate, increasing damage.
TL;DR The only way you could ever come to the conclusion that Squall even could shoot anyone with his gunblade is if you've never played the game for so much as five minutes.
Wow. Well maybe I just never gave a good goddamn about Final Fantasy 8? I mean, how could you? Why in the shit would anyone make a weapon that requires loading in order to shoot a piece of metal into itself in order for it to vibrate? What sort of wack ass drugs was Nomura on when he made this?

I'm sitting here on my re-play, and I'm at the Assassinate the Sorceress scene.
The Float Parade shows Edea driving AWAY from the fancy looking building (the one where you had to wait for the gates to open, before you save Rinoa)
From there, when the moment happens, Irvine shoots, and the bullet flies directly at a completely exposed Edea.
When Squall drops into the crowd, hits the car, and drives straight toward the parade float, it shows that 90% of the float is one giant chair, the back aimed at Irvine, that blocks any direct shots that Irvine would have had normally.
Answer that one, Square.

It absolutely does not. Have you ever played the game? When does a vibration sound like an explosion? Why is there muzzle flash?
Where did you get this ridiculous idea? You do realize that the barrel of the "gun" comes out the tip of the gunblade where the blade does that dip downwards, right? Only the cutting edge needs to be sharp (like most knives).

Never bring a knife to a gun fight. The Buster Sword is massive and unwieldy while the Gunblade is sleek. Squall gains points for agility and range. Cloud may be able to take a sword through the chest (so could Aeris), but he can't take a bullet through the head.
What we're arguing here isn't even the men, it's the weapons they carry; and even if you want to argue the men themselves, Cloud is just a guy looking for what he's owed so he can move on, while Squall is someone who's ruled practically entirely by his emotions... and he's given a gun at an emotionally fragile age. You don't do that.
Cloud will passively say something Squall doesn't agree with and Squall will riddle him with bullets before he even has the time to draw his Titanic of a sword off his back.
