I'm really not a fan of that title, and I mean the title, not the screen, It's way too long. I would just use "Keepers" in big letters and "of souls" (without restless) in a smaller font.
I'm practicing with some biggher sprites and tilesets for my next project (now that lost king is close to being finished) The sprite is a WiP but still I?m liking how it is going.
Do you like how a game looks with bigger sprites? I'm kinda getting tired of small ones...
maybe his head is too big though...

I like that avatar calunio.
Anyway for mine it depends a lot, sometimes I use drawings I made (like this one) or fnny pictures, or just some random eye candy.

Don't get me wrong Versalia, your example is indeed very sexualized, I was just comparing it to generic videogame girls who fight evil dressed with thongs and stars covering their boobs. Even if that guy is very sexualized, it's just one against the millions of his female counterpart, that's what I meant.
My point isn't that it should change, I mean it's what their public wants, they want almost naked girls fighting evil, and that probably won't change, it's just that as a gay man I feel a bit left out when we don't have nearly as much eyecandy as straight guys do (which shouldn´t surprise me at all)

Your example is definitely more attractive than Kratos. But it's much more subtle than most female characters. That's what I'm talking about, there are sexualized male chars in games, but not so evidently. With females subtly doesn't exist for most of the time, you see girls saving the world wearing a tiny tiny piece of cloth that doesn't cover anything up.
Now as many already said, it's about their target audience, there's still the thought that only 15 year old geeks play games, and those don't have much luck with girls in general, so the producers give them enough sexy girls in their games to make up for their lack of girls in real life.

it's okay, I'mnot telling you you should change how you act, just to make you conscious that it's mostly because men are taught to repress and block those feelings.
I think this has direct relation with the topic at hand, because it explains why men wouldn't feel comfortable playing with a oversexualized male character. If they didn't feel unconfortable and there was the same amount of oversexualized males and females in videogames then this topic would be a non issue.
Women don't get scared to play tomb raided with lara croft, the same can't be said with guys.

You are confusing a muscular a manly male with a oversexualized male, Kratos might be muscular and manly but he sure as hell isn't sexy to mostly any female.
A oversexualized male wouldn't be running with his cock hanging out, oversexualized females aren't showing their pussy either.
To me a oversexualized man would wear something like tight clothes, and a nice athletic body, and a good looking face, that much more attractive than Kratos or any hulk character of WoW.
Sbester, I don't believe that, I've read lots of books about male sexuality and they all agree that it's not that men can't tell the difference between an attractive man and an ugly one, and that they don't care about showing love for another man (not in a sexual way of course)but that they completely block those feelings, even if all guys deny it they Do know the differece between a good looking guy and an ugly one, because just like with women, we are bombarded with good looking people (male and female) in the media. Don't tell me you can't tell me the difference between Brad Pitt and the notredame hunchback.

I wouldn`t mind oversexualized women in games or media in general, if we could se the same for guys, I believe in equal treatement.
The difference is that while women don't really care much about women being oversexualized in games, men definitely don't like oversexualized male characters in their games, I think it has to do with a much bigger subject that involves general male sexuality, and our own insecurities. Men are taught to run away from a sexualized male, becuase otherwise they would be considered gay, and that's completely stupid, I mean one thing is to not be attracted to another guy, and a different thing is to not being able to look at one. Women can hold eachothers' hands, say how pretty they think the other one are, and they are not considered gayer for doint it. But because guys don't allow themselves to do that because they fear they might be considered gay (and probably would) they reject any form of closer contact, and for the same reason they would run from a game with a sexualized male character.
ON the other hand I'm a gay male speaking so my view might differ form yours, but I'm pretty sure about what I'm saying. I don't like women sexually, but I don't run away from a vagina picture, but I've seen men run away like children when a shirtless man appears, it's really weird.

How much to charge for videogame music?
But they weren't professional musicians in the strict meaning of the word, but that doesn't have anything to do with being great musicians.
